Aside from Yoshi's Crafty World (which I care about mainly because we had no information about a title that was announced in E3 2017 and the fact that Yoshi's Woolly World was my favorite Wii U game) the direct was pretty bland for me. We already had a lot of information about Smash in the last two directs so if they really wanted to impress me they should've revealed some game modes like "Spirits" and I never played an Animal Crossing game so neither Isabelle in Smash and the new game were things that I cared about. The one part that I wanted to see the most was Splatoon 2 and it was mainly because I've been waiting for an update for 2 months but at the end it was very underwhelming.

This is how it feels watching the Nintendo Direct lately. I'm so hyped for everything they are doing. Smash looks better than words can describe, Mario Party is taking a return to form and playing like a board game and being awesome again, Luigi's mansion getting a sequel, Pokémon limited edition consoles, Table Top games, Blizzard games, Civilization VI, Animal Crossing being announced and so much more. Everything Nintendo is doing looks so good it's overwhelming. The Switch is going to be such an iconic console over the course of its life time. I also love the competitive pricing on the online service by the way! And thank you so much for finally getting a cloud. I'm really hoping that more limited edition console version are released. In particular, I'm really hoping on the announcement of an Animal Crossing version, or a version for Elder Scrolls 6 (Long shot I know) when that's released 10 years from now. Stay awesome Nintendo!

PLEASE consider bringing the super mario maker to the switch! The game is ageless and could be easily updated with some new features to justify a deluxe-version release. Also its still really popular on the Wii-U, just think of the possibilities!!
on the switch we all are going to be forced to play on portable mode... unless you want to deal with motion controlls on the screen so mario maker is not a good title for the switch also i find the lack of stylus a problem i mean the hands covers too much screen to view what you are doing if they dont risk us maybe(very unprobable) we can see it on new 3DS but this time with internet share. at least for me the game will have a lot of issues on the switch so porting that game is not a good idea
If people are seriously disappointed by this direct, there expectations were absurdly out of wack. Smash, Luigi's Mansion, ANIMAL CROSSING, Yoshi, new splatoon and Mario tennis updates and like 5000 final fantasy games!!! How can you not be impressed by that?

Hey guys, I just want to say, Nintendo can't please everyone. They are making Luigi's mansion 3, Metroid, Bayonetta, and animal crossing. So be patient. No need to get so mad, about your game not getting revealed, or the smash character revealed. Nintendo is hype, but isn't going to have every newcomer and game revealed instantly.
There's a lot of people out there that are saying this was a lackluster Direct, particularly the Smash reveal. I think those people have it all wrong. Even if Animal Crossing isn't everyone's cup of tea, and they might not have the big draw to Isabelle, there are people out there who have thrown thousands of hours into the AC series, where they are not just fans but fanatics! Where they've done fanart, custom creations, run fan communities, and one day hope that it'll be rewarded with her getting that fabled invite envelope. And today, they did. Think back to Etika's Ridley reaction. Back to Maximilian's Cloud reaction. To the internet blowing up when Lucas got dropped. And the DLC that started it all...I know my world changed forever when Mewtwo was announced. (I didn't buy any Nintendo products after Brawl's roster was shown as final, and then came back around after the 50-Fact Extravaganza showed Mewtwo would be returning as DLC. I don't know many people felt THAT strongly about other Smashers, but maybe?) Everyone is someone's Ridley. Everyone is someone's Cloud. Everyone is someone's Lucas. And everyone is someone's Mewtwo. Let the dedicated AC fans, and Isabelle's biggest fans, have their day in the sun. Congratulations to you all!

Yeah,man people are treating Isabelle in Smash as if they had announce Dark Pit for Smash Ultimate instead of Smash 4.There were people who were dissapointed,and i understand why,the direct as a whole was a bit lackluster with it's announcements,but Isabelle in Smash is not a bad thing like people are saying it is.I know that right,there are people that actually are liking this idea,and i respect them.
Only let down is the online, no invite option in the app, or simple text chat, what's the point of adding friends you can't even invite to a game, and just cross your fingers thaf they jump into the same lobby as you? No point buying the online for playing with friends if your just going to play with people you already know at home to couch co-op..
You know what is sad is how everyone only wants the Switch cause of Super Smash Bros, and I bet most of its fanbase haven't played more than one or two games featured in it (i.e. Super Mario Bros & Final Fantasy VII). Like the Switch has many great games on it already. Also the 3DS is still running strong.

What they need to fix is paying for cloud save data. I’m pretty sure Nintendo is the only tech company that makes you pay for cloud storage (yes, I know Apple and Google offer you more storage, but at least they give you free cloud storage).

In reality, the only reason I’m slightly disappointed is because Nintendo didn’t announce anything about the Online Service that we didn’t already know. But in all honesty, I’m still very happy with this direct, ESPECIALLY for Luigi’s Mansion 3, that’s all I really needed for this entire year. I loved the original Luigi’s Mansion and will probably get the 3DS remake and 3.

you should totally try it out! Animal Crossing is a lovely series, it’s more of a casual franchise but the characters are so lovable and overall the game is very calming and charming. Highly recommend it ☺️

A.J. Heft I agree. Aside from Yoshi's Crafty World (which I care about mainly because we had no information about a title that was announced in E3 2017 and the fact that Yoshi's Woolly World was my favorite Wii U game) the direct was pretty bland for me. We already had a lot of information about Smash in the last two directs so if they really wanted to impress me they should've revealed some game modes like "Spirits" and I never played an Animal Crossing game so neither Isabelle in Smash and the new game were things that I cared about. The one part that I wanted to see the most was Splatoon 2 and it was mainly because I've been waiting for an update for 2 months but at the end it was very underwhelming.

This is how it feels watching the Nintendo Direct lately. I'm so hyped for everything they are doing. Smash looks better than words can describe, Mario Party is taking a return to form and playing like a board game and being awesome again, Luigi's mansion getting a sequel, Pokémon limited edition consoles, Table Top games, Blizzard games, Civilization VI, Animal Crossing being announced and so much more. Everything Nintendo is doing looks so good it's overwhelming. The Switch is going to be such an iconic console over the course of its life time.
I also love the competitive pricing on the online service by the way! And thank you so much for finally getting a cloud. I'm really hoping that more limited edition console version are released. In particular, I'm really hoping on the announcement of an Animal Crossing version, or a version for Elder Scrolls 6 (Long shot I know) when that's released 10 years from now.

There's a lot of people out there that are saying this was a lackluster Direct, particularly the Smash reveal. I think those people have it all wrong.
Even if Animal Crossing isn't everyone's cup of tea, and they might not have the big draw to Isabelle, there are people out there who have thrown thousands of hours into the AC series, where they are not just fans but fanatics! Where they've done fanart, custom creations, run fan communities, and one day hope that it'll be rewarded with her getting that fabled invite envelope. And today, they did. Think back to Etika's Ridley reaction. Back to Maximilian's Cloud reaction. To the internet blowing up when Lucas got dropped. And the DLC that started it all...I know my world changed forever when Mewtwo was announced. (I didn't buy any Nintendo products after Brawl's roster was shown as final, and then came back around after the 50-Fact Extravaganza showed Mewtwo would be returning as DLC. I don't know many people felt THAT strongly about other Smashers, but maybe?)

Yeah,man people are treating Isabelle in Smash as if they had announce Dark Pit for Smash Ultimate instead of Smash 4.There were people who were dissapointed,and i understand why,the direct as a whole was a bit lackluster with it's announcements,but Isabelle in Smash is not a bad thing like people are saying it is.I know that right,there are people that actually are liking this idea,and i respect them.
Only let down is the online, no invite option in the app, or simple text chat, what's the point of adding friends you can't even invite to a game, and just cross your fingers thaf they jump into the same lobby as you? What they need to fix is paying for cloud save data. I’m pretty sure Nintendo is the only tech company that makes you pay for cloud storage (yes, I know Apple and Google offer you more storage, but at least they give you free cloud storage).

In reality, the only reason I’m slightly disappointed is because Nintendo didn’t announce anything about the Online Service that we didn’t already know. But in all honesty, I’m still very happy with this direct, ESPECIALLY for Luigi’s Mansion 3, that’s all I really needed for this entire year. I loved the original Luigi’s Mansion and will probably get the 3DS remake and 3.

Not gonna lie, I wasn't too hyped for Isabelle in Smash. But I've never been into Animal Crossing (never played one) so hoping that the switch version gets me in!
you should totally try it out! Animal Crossing is a lovely series, it’s more of a casual franchise but the characters are so lovable and overall the game is very calming and charming. Highly recommend it ☺️
