As an older guy who doesn't drive fast, but finds it difficult getting in and out of a small car, this seems to be a great alternative for something bigger, but not too big. My only concern is the reliability of a 3 cylinder turbo. I'd imagine you'd have to follow the maintenance religiously, like oil changes every 3 months or 5000km.
Personally I wouldn’t worry about the reliability of the three cylinder. It has less moving parts than a four and it is not overmatched by this small car. As long as you follow the factory maintenance schedule and check the oil levels in between oil changes, and top it off if need be, I think it will be fine long term.
To all you hater I have one it 13,000 miles got it in January engine and transmission no problem I've taken it to my house in Ensenada Mexico four times
Maybe im weird but i've always wanted a 3cyc ever since the Geo Metro. ....I used to drive air cooled VW's but most vehicles i've owned these days have overkill V6's and V8's with abysmal gas mileage that are so complex under the hood I could barely fix them if broke down .... sure 'power' can be nice but i'm questioning how much engine a truly need for daily driving going from point A to point B given the higher gas prices and upkeep these days. .... My 1.5L / 1500cc Vw only had 53hp and even in modern traffic I never had any trouble .... I really like what they've done with the Trax / Envista.
Haha so funny u say that about the 3 banger geo metro!!!! Ive always wanted a 3 cylinder since the geo metro haha I'm buying one of these 3 cylinder trax asap.

post covid yes, I work in an airport... we're in our slow period, but we're actually just as busy now as we were in the summer. No one is staying home anymore.
There’s way more cars. Here in Utah I’ll drive at 11:30 PM, and hoards of people are still on the roads. Don’t even get me started on Friday night traffic.
I would imagine pretty well for its size, based on the torque and the fact that the turbocharger will negate most of the power loss at higher elevations
For the owners for this vehicle... I see the display is angled towards the driver. Is this angle passenger friendly? Would the front-seat passenger be able to easily access this display for things like radio station selection or other functionality?
*Your hands move an excessively odd amount to the left and right as both of them are on the steering wheel. I've never experienced that myself or seen that unless I was driving a super old beat up vehicle or the person themselves was an overly nervous driver. Noone has mention it but I have 24 1rs and it might be the ride height or the light weight but at 73mph+ and a little wind it it feels unstable. Other than that great car just keep both hand on steering wheel on the highway
You drive like you’re in some old time movie; where the passing scenery was front-projected, and actors moved the wheel a bunch so it looks like they’re actually doing something. Long been a joke, but you have chosen to emulate it, apparently?
ikr, with all the people who died from covid, how can there be more people driving on the road ? where did they come from ? it's not like more young people got their driving licenses because the young people I know don't even want to get there's and they're getting up there in age and want to be chauffered around.
I looked at at Trax 2RS specifically because I was looking for something affordable, it was advertised at $25,600. When I got to the Chevy dealer it had a $2500 “market adjustment” making it $28,100. I laughed in the Chevy salesman’s face. I ended up getting a Mazda CX-30 carbon edition AWD for $28,500. For $400 more I got a 2.5 L 4 cylinder with 54 more hp (191 hp), All wheel drive, dual tipped exhaust, a red real leather interior and a sun roof.
@@jayson657 good man , u made me lol when I read laughed in chevy face cause no one paying a market adjustment for a piece of junk trax 😂 I just got rid of my cx30 at 40k mileage for a Toyota crown needing more gas but still miss the Mazda It’s a fun little crossover
I was watching speedometer and you went from 67 mph to 80 about 3.5 seconds not too bad for a $23,595 vehicle would you want your high school child to go any faster or the wife for that mater😂😂

@@CarDietrichit has a WET TIMING BELT. anyone should buy an extended warranty. Of you don't your SOL. Google wet timing belts and you will see.
The main reliability concern about this engine is the wet timing belt. It seems like a pain in the ass to replace.

Three bangers are good little engines, less moving parts than four cylinders and with modern technology they still make decent power

If they wanted to they still could get to those controls, it’s a relatively small car so it’s not too far of a reach

Everyone bought cars instead of taking transportation

You shouldn’t be driving you hands are too shaky
80 MPH wastes too much fuel in any vehicle. Wait until the Permian peaks and the usual whiners blame it on the gubmint.
3 cylinder. What a joke GM has become.
Ford, Toyota and pretty every manufacturer outside of the US uses 3cyl engines.
