What i like about Carlton beating Port is the false hope it gives their fans. I mean they do this every year, so why not wait until they beat, say two teams in the top 8 before you buy the GF tix 😁😁😁
What I learnt from Port’s loss. Port’s winning streak was overrated and several games were luck based outcomes. Port hasn’t played one dominate 4 quarter game. Port have little to no depth. Port have several players that are not at AFL standard: Jonas, Lord, Burgoyne, Mead. Port must change their captain and play a kid in his place for the remainder of the season (Pasini). Port desperately need another ruckman. Lycett should of played in the SANFL to build match fitness. Port deperately need another strong intercept defender. The CERTAINTY of next week. They will LOSE convincingly.
Whilst I agree with most of that, Port definitely have the capacity to beat Collingwood & you don't win 13 games with luck in todays game. They are a good team who honestly have been a bit off for a few weeks now, and it showed yesterday. If this year has shown anything, you'd be a absolute fool to say anything is a certainty!
@@althecritc Most teams have the capacity to beat Collingwood on the day however it is apparent Port have peaked and they are now destined for a downward trajectory. How Port lost to Carlton demonstrates the decline is now. Port has reached the apex of their ability. Port’s deficiencies are too great. Every position has a significant weakness and their defensive weaknesses are glaring. If Port are truely contending for a premiership, they need to beat Collingwood. I cannot envision Port defeating Collingwood or even being competitive.
@@Jamie_one_of_many_prophets Lack of depth has always been an issue for them, just look at there SANFL team last year. I've watched all their games, 13 in a row has taken a toll and the loss was needed - but the biggest change other than some missing personnel is Butters form. He was the main reason for them flying, hiding their defensive weaknesses. I think this game against the Pies will say everything we need to know about Port, but I still wouldn't bet on either team this weekend!
@@althecritc Port need to find a strong bodied defender from SANFL otherwise this year will be another wasted year. Perhaps they should’ve picked one from the mid-season draft.
@@Jamie_one_of_many_prophets Agreed. Luckily they seem to have a strong young core to contest & build around for years to come. On paper they were never my premiership favourites - but they still most definitely can win it with their best, along with a few others.
It's weird both Collingwood and Port have won 70% of there games by less then a kick but according to most Collingwood are contenders and Port are pretenders? What's the difference? When Collingwood do it it's the skill to win when Port do it it's a pathetic unskilled win?
@@bhawnanayyar6605 Because if they get their best team in they are still really good. And unlike Port and Brisbane, they wouldn't be worried about playing a big final at the MCG.
At the beginning of the season I predicted the Blues would play finals. I maybe was right after all. Good work, Blues brothers.
No chance
There the July premiers but like last year they’ll miss out again like last yr
Almost as delusional as saints fans lol

Gee the bandwagon changes colours weekly.
Half a port side and 4 other bottom teams done nothing yet

Brisbane beat Collingwood decisively. Definitely a bigger threat than Geelong.
