I reduce the Sharpness and Noise Reduction to -4
I use a 10% cinebloom filter together with a variable nd filter
In AF with eye recognition if I have a lens like the 16-55mm, otherwise manual focus, depending on the situations
Stabilization active and Boost mode OFF
AF speed at -2 or -3 (here too it depends on the type of scene I want to shoot)
I always record in Flog 2 6K Open Gate, Prores (very useful for my iMac with Final Cut)

Also for focus, do you use a focus lock button setting?! I'm having difficulty on how focus is on the x-s20.

Yes, I have a button associated with AF lock, but I rarely use it, I prefer MF in that case (if the subject is static)

Rather, I recommend using a button to fix manual focus on the subject you want to frame! For me it's more accurate, the only problem is that you can't use it while it's recording
