Pete is so spontaneously funny, "filling the vase for your flowers with your tears".
What a great episode. I loved it. When Pete said: "Do you fill the vase with your tears?" it showed how quick he is. Both are terrific.

Pete’s “lucky donkey” may be the loudest I ever laughed at any podcast moment.
That immediate response from Pete grabbed my attention, because I very much doubt that s*x with a rabid Scientologist would leave a human partner feeling “lucky”, much less a “donkey”. . . (Even yuckier than his usual Cruise-worship!)
Right up there with "Let the stroke pass..."
I've been on the fence about the shows with guests. I know the guys are trying to get more viewers and do something a little different. This is my favorite interview so far. The flow seemed so much better, and Frank seems so easy going. Great job guys!

Now with the guests I think there is another oppouruntity to add an extra show per week. Tuesday: drop the show with the guest, Thursday: the no guest show.
@@alex-dk2rj I think they are already pressed for time doing one show per week. That's why they shoot several in a row to air later.

I love Bill Burr and up until now, the episode with Bill was my favorite. But I ❤ Frank Grillo! 😍 Amd not for the reasons people may think. I just fell in love with him and his character when he was in Kingdom. As a Muay Thai fighter, and someone who has always loved combat sports, I appreciate how much he is into and respects combat sports. But he's just a cool and real guy that apparently hasn't been negatively affected by the Hollywood machine. You can see his body language and tell he was so comfortable being there with Pete and Sebastian. 👌

Pertaining to expressing emotion as a parent in front of your kids: I remember when my daughter was young being a single mother and having a lot on my plate meant that I was operating very much like a robot, I needed to stay focused, get things done and be the provider. Not showing emotion to my daughter meant that she felt ashamed and alienated from her own emotions, because she had no one to model normal emotional expression. I think in a sense it even made her fear and therefore misunderstand her own feelings. Once I noticed this, we got much closer and I made a point to not hide my feelings from her. It's very human to express emotions and your kids are better off for it. It also teaches them that they have support from their family when they are hurting or feeling something.

I have to agree with some of the comments below. This was a great episode. I commented previously that I really missed the old Cast, when it was just you & Pete, split screen, but these shows just keep getting better & better. I've always looked forward to the Cast because it's just so enjoyable & you guys still make me laugh hard with each episode. Love you guys & love seeing you together!

Guys! Awesome episode and interview. But man! He gave you the opening to talk about Kingdom and I was REALLY hoping to hear more about that experience. Could he see that special "aura" around Paul Walter Hauser back then before he became the star he is today? Also all the fights and training, they were all so jacked throughout the entire run of that show. Anyway, haven't seen much of Grillo in interview form so thank you for this! 😊
