Our boys would not be the responsible, self-sufficient, funny men they are today without him! I could not have patented them that way. That's why it is so important for children, especially boys, to have a father in the home. "The family " is so important.
I agree with your dad, I played college soccer and later coached my g/b twins soccer teams, my kids were the best players on the team and I coached firmly with no candy coating, their teams had several undefeated seasons

He is a businessman- my God how did he not learn anything from all the USA English speaking people? He came here at 15 years old for heaven’s sake - he’s 76 years old - was he in a cave cutting hair for mutes?

The tide has now turned back to Sebastian's father's point of view. It is not helpful to keep telling children how wonderfully they did if they didn't. They have to develop a sense of their own strengths and weaknesses, and have to be allowed to fail without the parents rescuing them all the time. Otherwise, they won't develop the proper coping skills which they'll need to deal with disappointment and the dark days that come to us all. Children were better off when they just went out to play and were allowed to learn social skills without their parents hovering over them. When they're playing team sports, I'm sure if they were honest they'd say their parents being present just puts more stress on them.
Sal do you hear some things and hear it in your native language and interpret it and translate it to English in your head? I know people who have English as their second language go through that. Does that happen for you sometimes? Such a cool guy!
