The most noticeable change that isn't specifically highlighted in this trailer is the drop dash ACTUALLY HAVING AN ANIMATION

And in general it's just more accurate to sonic mania (Actually charging in the air instead of when you hit the ground)

At this point Sega deserves to go down in flames. Sonic Mania was great because it WASN'T made by Sega. If it was, it would basically be Sonic Superstars.

The fact that we have to have the FANS fix all the bugs shows you just how LITTLE love Sega put into the game.
Yes, but it also shows how MUCH love Sonic fans put into their projects, like this, SRB2, Before The Sequel, After The Sequel, and especially Sonic Mania, which was licensed & published by Sega themselves, but was entirely fan-developed.

I mean... kind of the opposite lol, Sega didn't put anything into it, and rushed it, there was so much more planned for Origins, even Mighty and Ray are in the coding, the mobile versions of the menus, a lot was planned, but Sega per usual just wanted it out the door asap. There was love by the devs, love put into it, but yeah I guess not by Sega themselves.

Having the spindash in the """classic""" mode of sonic 1 was a mistake and if you want the spin dash then play the normal version in origins

Honestly, man I just wanted the mobile menus, especially CD being robbed of it, when the Steam and console versions had it, there was no reason to backtrack all the way to the og or Gems Collection of the menus, and of course Mighty and Ray. Both these things are in Origins' data if you datamined it, just a classic case of Sega rushing the devs, they put love into it, Headcannon would never hold back, and yet Sega just wanted it rushed out. It's Sonic 06 all over again, potential for something amazing, and just rushed out.

They should've not only used emulation for classic mode, but kept the roms easily accessible since they took them off Steam. That's probably the worst thing Origins caused and it's not something mods can fix unfortunately

I totally get if the internet at large is so knowledgeable about Sonic games that they get annoyed beyond repair with some missing features on the original release, but… man…. This game doesn’t feel nearly as broken to me as the internet makes it out to be.
Nintendo: released Super Mario 3D All Stars with almost no problems in game.
Also developed Super Mario All Stars for SNES more than 2 decades ago internally with the same high quality.
Sega: releases Origins collections. Have to rely on modders to fix a collection of their 2D games that were made under contract by various game studios.

@@ToonBoom788 Sonic 3, which Sonic Origins hurt the most by removing the Ice Cap, Carnival Night and Launch Base Zone music and replacing it with horrible low quality versions of the beta track.

A real fix is making super forms available anytime after beating the game and a double jump for Amy.

As of the current release, it does not. There are various mods that add back the original S3&K music that should work no problem with Ultrafix. Please look forward to future updates!

im glad mods like this exist but I'm still mad at Sega for delisting Sonic 1-3&k and cd on Xbox bc the ports of those games from the 360 that were backwards compatible were good

Without a side by side comparison it’s hard to see what’s different- mainly because what we are seeing is the game we expected to see.
A billion-dollar company: releases a promising collection of games the fans know and love with new features, but filled with glitches
Some freelance fans: FIXES ALL OF SEGA/SONIC TEAM’S PROBLEMS YET AGAIN

That would require either remaking it in the Retro Engine from the ground up, or adding a Genesis emulator to the game. Neither is really feasible.
And neither is in the scope of the mod. It's an ultra-fix, not an ultra-game-addition

If i had Stream with me. I am glad to pay the game and added the Mod to make it as the true Classic Definitive.
Would be cool if some of the master system games were added (maybe some more playable characters from other sonic games, but maybe at that point it's a little too much)

Will this also include the actual OST to Sonic 3? the one that was long rumoured to be composed by Michael Jackson?
Will it have smooth sprite scroll? I feel like that is a bare minimum must that SEGA overlooked, or didn't implement on purpose for whatever reason. It adds a lot to the games in terms of perception of flow and smoothness; Sonic 3 AIR has it and it looks objectively great (and the few that don't like it can turn it off)
Does this fix the AWFUL sound mixing of Sonic CD (which was perfectly fine in the original Steam version), as well as the AWFUL Sonic 3 physics?

This is PC only unfortunately and while Ultrafix doesn't have S3K music replacement AFAIK there's other mods out there that do exactly that and apparently work fine with this mod
WAIT, knuckles glide bounce wasn't in the game. I just never noticed or tried I guess but that's insane.
Loving all the fixes so far, but I can't test the elemental shields or insta-shield in S1 due to how the mod changes the Level Select screen for that game. Does anyone know how I can access that stuff in S1 with the mod on? TY, and keep up the good work!

Can you add smooth rotation (as an option to enable and disable), the option to disable drop dash animation (due to using other mod sprites glitching), and super sonic sprites? (what I mean is when playing as super sonic in sonic 1&2, unique spirtes will show yellow sonic).

i've been looking at a lot of reviews, videos and perspectives from people who've played and disliked Sonic Origins, and I still don't understand why they think this game is so bad...the main things i could point out are music mixing, the physics engine, and lacking in anniversary content (videos/pictures/commentary/etc)...but that's it
i think it's a really serviceable way to play, and i don't understand why the comments are saying this ultrafix is *required* for Origins (but im not discrediting the work put into this!! the amount of changes in this mod is super impressive!)
