It is absolute joy to watch you at Christmas. My son was taking wounded vets with no legs on skiing expedition 2 years ago, when they were all killed in an avalanche. I found your channel at that time. I couldn’t speak for months because the grief was so great, and I didn’t want to see anyone. I could onlyI lie in bed watching tv. I found your channel and I actually laughed out loud. This continued for a few weeks, until I realized I was laughing again. I finally came out of my room and started back into life after that. You will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart, for doing what no one else could do for me. You helped me know there is always laughter, no matter how much pain. While serving as Army Delta force, Matthew had lost both legs in the war and had a traumatic brain injury. I moved in with him and we worked tirelessly to help him recover, and he went on to finish his Executive MBA degree at an Ivy League school. He founded an organization saving endangered wildlife in Africa, as well as a company helping wounded vets learn to achieve their physical goals. You and your families laughter helped me see and focus back on all the good, and not just the pain. Thank you all.
Rebecca, my heart goes out to you. So much pain, but I'm happy this brings you joy. My story is similar, my sister passed unexpectedly and I started watching this, it's been a real treat. Their joy is contagious, and they do work hard, and they are all so Authentic! Best wishes to you!

@@barblallier9413 God puts people in our path and in our lives for a reason. Sometimes these people are in are lives for days, hours, or a lifetime. We cannot be sad when they aren’t here, but focus on what they brought to our life, and what WE learned from them. I’m sad I don’t see him, but what he achieved was so amazing, he made a huge difference to other wounded vets. My overwhelming pride in how he made choices in his life makes me smile, and over rides my grief. We laughed together so much. I could be Stephanie’s long lost sister, I love Christmas,my motto is. Less is NOT MORE…LESS IS JUST LESS. Christmas was his favorite time, and loved to decorate his house. I have a tree in every room, garland with lights up the stairway. Christmas kitchen garland with food ornaments. He loved coming home on leave at Christmas for Moms food and and a house filled with smells of Christmas and filled with love. It’s why I love watching Stephanie, Phillip and crew. It reminds me of our home when the kids are here

It's the singer in her, a good ear for music and training through songs in all kinds of languages equips her perfectly for language abilities. This is just one of the reasons why more people should be trained singers, or at least sing in groups often, it is extremely healthy for posture, balance and breathing, gives you a good core muscle workout, and bonds you to the social group like only making music together can! ❤

Michael is a true gentleman to his mommy. I loved that he bought her warm clothes. We have been living in the USA for 27 years now, and my South African-born son is the same. He never lost that while growing up in the USA. South African men are rough and tough, but always make sure their moms are comfortable. For example, Elon Musk, a millionaire, grew up and was born in South Africa, and you can love him or hate him, he is very respectful towards his Mom. I love that about South African men.

What a wonderful gathering and beautiful Norwegian Jul Solstice celebration. My dear Grandfather's birthday was on 12.21, the Winter Solstice. The LaLande Dining Table looked Exquisite
and gorgeous. White flowers with greens are my very favorite, and the scent of pine must have been heavenly. Mistletoe on chandelier was so pretty. Such amazing foods, delicious selections. I could really feel my Norwegian ancestry coming through the genes. Welcome to Michael's mother! Such a long journey, but she will enjoy being at LaLande. And Sir Lancelot❤ Le Bambino has been done in by the joy and excitement. And maybe just a little too much sausage!

I didn’t know that Michael’s mother’s name is Judy. What a coincidence! She is staying in my favourite LaLande room . I stayed in that room last year and found it totally charming and comfortable. I loved looking out at the sheep below my window. This was a fun vlog. Stephen is so charming - appreciating all the beautiful women around him. I loved how Marie’s mother did the table 🤩❤.

I keep marveling at how alike Marie and her mother are. Two beautiful, warm, caring, and talented ladies. I so enjoyed learning a little about Norwegian traditions. I had a school friend whose father was from Oslo and they observed a lot of Norwegian traditions. This brings back good memories
