The Basilica St. Martial was incredibly uplifting to visit and has made this Advent even more special. I so appreciate you taking us inside this stunning church.
Even if it contains relics of St Martial, it is the basilica of St Michel-des-lions. St Martial of Limoges was an abbey which was destroyed in 1794 of which only the crypt remains.
Whaou ! Marie you excell yourself ! You dispose food on a plate, like you compose amagnificent bouquet... sweet and delicate ! Bravo Marie ! You have such so many talents.
I could spend a year just driving around France looking at the churches and cathedrals. As an aside - that cheese is so inexpensive for what is undoubtedly very high quality.
Sir Lancelot says, " These people sure know how to eat, and think I will stick with them, for sure!" He watches everything going on Just love how docile and kind John is and all the dishes he purchased. Wow! But then again, many people come to his Chateau, and some are living there too, and so he needs to make sure they have plenty of beautiful sets of dishes for all. The 'presentation; says alot to say about the meal itself. This is very true! A fun shopping trip with you all, enjoyed it all! Such lovely places to shop, and so much to do, Titianna really also enjoyed the whole time with the shopping trip, She is such a very nice lady! Loved the way Davey would rather work in the rain then go antiquing. LOL
My favourite moments in your videos are the visits to French cathedrals and churches with lovely music playing as well as your shopping excursions! Greetings from the east coast of Canada!
I loved this show- the porcelain, stained glass windows in the church and the music you chose to showcase the beauty. I lived in the South of France for 5 years and France always has a special place in my heart. Amazing food in Les Halles - could almost taste the cheese. Many delicious memories! For the last 4.5 years I am living in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, a magical Colonial city. Living in Gratitude.
Complete delight!!! I look forward to the Christmas Diaries all year and I LOVE the style that you have chosen this year- daily life with a lot of Christmas sprinkled in!!! Much love to everyone at Lalande!!
It warms my heart to see Stephanie put more into the garden, ( the new secret gazebo) and the apple trees. I feel like she's making it even more special of a garden for when Mummy and Percy are able to return. ❤ And don't tell Isabel Philip went to a porcelain by the pound sale!!😂
I have to say, every episode brightens my day. I have never been disappointed. The shopping trip was epic. Marie's meal was very colorful and looked very delicious. Lancelot, you are such a good boy shopping. Thank you for the footage of the church. It is beautiful. Loved the music as well.❤
Stephanie thank you for taking us into that glorious cathedral and sharing its history. Absolutely beautiful and the music so nice. Your auntie is just so gracious and beautiful. I always enjoy when we have your uncle and Auntie visit . Marie is looking so much happier now and it makes me smile . Your meals always look amazing. ❤❤❤❤❤
I think Maria's cooking style really influenced Marie. Thank you for visiting Limogues, I have not been for ages, its inspired me to re visit especially now the market has been re-opened.👌
not sure about France, but in Germany you traditionally don‘t set them up until Christmas Eve. You have all the other decorations out before, but not the tree. Many people are doing it much earlier nowadays, but it‘s still not uncommon to wait until the 24th. I seem to remember at Lalande they were usually setting them up throughout the season, but not overly early.

Such a fun episode and it brought back so many memories from my working years in Limoges. I worked for the Chamber of Commerce & Industry and I often went to the “kilo sales” of Porcelain…so wonderful! I still have pieces that I purchased way back when! It’s very very tempting, I know! Also it’s lovely to see the markets restored as they weren’t like that when I lived in the area. Thank you so much for the lovely tour…I can’t wait to get back to that part of France next year! 🤗🫶🏼💖
What says Christmas better than the colorfully festive shop windows of Limoges… and nothing says Limoges like the irresistible beauty of porcelain. What to match with all that lovely French porcelain? No questions about it, it’s the lovely rising super-chef, Marie! Bravo!!
Limoges has a special place in my heart, with memories there with my late husband. And I share your love of porcelains (well all tableware, actually), and Bernardaud (I have two different sets of it, Chambord, and one I don't know the name of). Thank you for this!
What a lovely video. Thank you for sharing your visit to Limoges; Les Halles and all the foods looked amazing. And then you went back to an equally amazing Marie dinner…she’s a real joy and treasure!
I loved this video! I wish I could have climbed through the screen and joined them at the porcelain store, the antique place or joined them for dinner. Marie's food looks so delicious. ❤
You have no idea how much impact you have in my life.I know you've heard it all before, but you have helped me through so many hard days, brightening my mood seeing all of you together always in great spirit. I love all you people and how you bring people together and how much joy you spread around. It's amazing and it's contagious.I try to do the same in my own way. Thank you for being so awesome all of you, and thank you for sharing your life. Much love.Be well ❤
😊Yes! Either Seattle or Boston market place. 👃Except far less fishy🐟. And, all that fabulous fromage 🧀 too! Gourmet cheese is so outrageously💲expensive here in the States🤣. They are so blessed in France🍷! 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
Just fabulous! It’s so great to see Marie in her element, shining and radiant. Happy bunny in an enormously happy and joyous household of special people! Love to you all. ❤
I love the inside of old churches……it’s a magical feeling. Pity we don’t have our churches open here in UK. Used to love going in and enjoy the tranquility . 🥰🥰🥰
What a beautiful place to visit, I really enjoyed watching this vlog!, everything does look pretty at Christmas time thank you for sharing your trip and then going home for some delicious food made by Marie nice take care everyone and Happy Advent 💕🌼🤗
We don't have Christmas markets nor food halls ANYWHERE in the States! We have plenty of Art & Wine festivals with crafts and bbq food, but nothing like this! What an opportunity for someone to get this going! Anyone?
I’m an American too and often wish we had market days, instead we have flea markets and bbq or hot dog stands. When I was a young girl. Men and women dressed up more, now in my opinion people are too casual and just don’t seem to care. (I’m 75 now) At times I just smh 😊
American here! We have food halls (Redding terminal Market is them most famous)and Christmas markets here in Philadelphia and some beautiful old churches too!
The US is a huge country and you can't make such sweeping proclamations about the whole country based on whatever small corner you live in. Google "Best US Christmas markets" and you'll see that there are indeed many, as this country had a huge European immigrant population that brought their customs here, but yes,, you may have to travel to find them. As for Farmers Markets, most all large urban centers that are near any farmland have many to choose from throughout the week. Here in Southern California, you can find them almost every day of the week in different parts of the city.
Love the video!!!! Getting used to these daily vlogs......Marie is blossoming greatly with all the love around her, showing her exquisite talents!!!!! Sir Lancelot is such a cutie, he is feeling the love as well. I sure hope I can visit one day! It would be wonderful to see my gift from Arizona opened..... Would be such a blessing to me to see your appreciation of it.❤
5:27 I once made a crostini board instead of a charcuterie board for an event - went over really well. And I got to use all my small serving bowls for the various spreads, sauces, chutneys, salsas etc
Marie loves playing food for the same reason she likes arranging flowers. Her sense of design and a creative outlet.
Love this! Food, antiques, a beautiful church with Christian history! Lovely!
I'm pretty certain that this vlog made all of us wish to visit that charming town.❤
Limoges is a city of two halves. The old medieval part is very pretty but some of city is quite ugly with post war buildings.
Porcelain hauls, exotic nibbles, cheese, great architecture, a mysterious tomb & home to an artfully plated meal. Nothing better.
I couldn’t agree more! A wonderful vlog. Thank you for filming🥰
That cathedral was was magnificent as well as its history 😍😘
I love Marie’s “It just tastes better when it looks better.”

Limoges is heaven! What aa delight! Thank you for the respectful history and beauty.
What an exceptional episode...porcelain, food, and churches! My favorites.
As a person that likes animals I feel that Lancelot is more of an accessory than a pet. He needs to run around not be carried everywhere.
Stephanie thank you for showing us how beautiful is France and Marie her cooking looks delicious.❤
Absolutely loved this episode with all of the sights and sounds of the season and the tour of the Basilica and history of it's namesake. 😊❤
The white will highlight your stunning patterned porcelain and ceramics.
How wonderful. I truly wish America came back to these beautiful movable animal decorations. Such Christmas cheer it brings.
It’s been years since that has been happening. It’s just magical when you see the window displays set at Christmas with movement. ❤

The church of Saint Michael of the Lions is not a cathedral, simply a hall-type church recently elevated to the title of basilica. 😇
Think Marie has been taking notes from Maria’s plating up
Of definitely!
The Basilica was breathtaking and the music went so magnificently with the video of it. Thank you.
