  • @BlessedBaubles

    Yes!! That’s the same yarn I used with a different video before I found your video. It is so gorgeous but it doesn’t slide around and readjust like most knitted projects do with yarn. But if one can work it like you say, it’s beautiful!! I wish I saw your video first because of the way you closed the pillow at the end! What a total life saver your way would have been. Great job!
    I made my son an longer pillow and redid it because you can see through the stitches when it’s done. But what I did to overcome that is I used a pillow cover, stuffed the stuffing in that, then put it in the pillow so what I see is white through the white. It looks better than just stuffing with no fabric in between.
    I’m gonna use the rest of my skein to make myself a hat. Yum!!

    • @ShesCraftyandSheKnowsIt
      @ShesCraftyandSheKnowsIt  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great idea to use the pillow cover so that the stuffing doesn't show through! The first time I made a pillow I made the gaps WAY too big, so I ended up unraveling the whole thing and redoing it with smaller stitches. I always learn the hard way ha! And yay for you using the rest of the skein to make a hat! I know it'll turn out adorable!

    I can't seem to figure out closing the bottom (the end with the tail)... the hole at the bottom is so big that going around it once doesn't close it up. If i cinch it tighter, it creates big gaps where i pull it tight - plus it distorts the shape and makes it lumpy... I've tried making the first chain tighter - hoping the hole will be smaller but that just makes the knit so tight that the shape ends up being a tube. please help

      I used half a skein. The white yarn is about $9 a skein and one skein should be able to make 2 little pillows. I have the yarn linked in the description below the video, if that helps!

    how long does the yarn to make one pillow?

    • @ShesCraftyandSheKnowsIt

      I used less than one skein of this yarn (michaelstores.pxf.io/c/1441940/583110/9591?prodsku=10519836&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.michaels.com%2Fbernat-blanket-big-yarn%2F10519836.html) - so less than 32 yards. I don't have an exact measurement but I would guess I used about 3/4 of the skein - so maybe about 24 yards or so. Hope this helps!

      I’m so sorry! I replied with a link and it keeps deleting my comment. That yarn was discontinued but you can look in the description of my video for links to other yarn options. The first option from Michaels is my favorite!
