Cheers mate. I own one and would like to ask you, should the motor work when I press the shutter even without film or is there some sort of electronic stopper that would only allow it to work with film loaded? Thanks
You are not the first to ask me this, many people are afraid to try a camera without film. Any super 8 camera must work without film if the motor does not turn then the camera is faulty. Sometimes there are cases where the zoom works but the motor doesn't, so people think that if they put a film on, it works, but it won't, then it means that the motor is in trouble.
Hey! I picked one of these up with a slightly different EE/Manual switch. It says "Manual/Pull Up" Any idea how to operate this version? The needle moves when I hold in the button, but just closes down to f11 every time. 🤷🏻♂️
Thank you so much for your channel and this video! I have this camera and am trying to figure out the best way of shooting inside and outside with one roll of film. Would you recommend 50D or 500T and do I need any lens filters? Thank you so much!
found this exact camera at a thrift store today. Is there specific batteries to use? Once i install the batteries and pull the trigger it seems to not do anything.
They don't need to be special, regular 1.5v AA alkalines. Try the On off switch a couple of times, sometimes it wants to get stuck after standing for a long time.
I’m having the same issue. Please let me know if you figure anything out. Been looking for disassembly instructions everything seems tight and I don’t want to damage it
hello! I bought this same camera 4 years ago and it was forgotten about for a while, the batteries were left inside. I’ve tried to put new batteries in now and I’ve checked the battery checked. The needle isn’t even moving - does this mean the camera is far long gone? what should I do with it?

Do you repair these?

I just use this KODAK 50D Color if you shoot outside it's not bad to have a UV filter.

If the motor on the camera does not work, it will not wind the film, then the battery has damaged contacts.
Hey! do you klnow of a way to remove the handle for easier cleaning? I have battery corrosion on this exact model.
The handle is fixed. I've never opened this camera, it would probably have to be completely disassembled to get to the handle.
@@VintageCameraGuy. Oh. Yeah I had assumed so as well. I spent a solid hour the other day trying to disassemble it. Thank you anyways!
hello! what does the "power zooom switch" ( the T and W button ) do exactly? I'm french so I don't really understand this term of power zoom
It's a regular zoom. Only when this camera came out was it called power zoom because it used a motor. That was a novelty then.
Do you know where I can find the eyecup on it’s own? No luck on eBay unless I want to buy another one that has it.
Only from another camera.
Would this camera perform good in low light with 500T film?
This camera is not designed to shoot in low light. The quality will be very bad.
Hey, do you know how to access the light meter battery on this model? My light meter seems to be dead.
There is no separate battery for the light meter, the main batteries are for both the light meter and the motor. It's probably faulty.
Can I still shoot if my light meter is broken?
Yes
I have this exact camera. The trigger is stuck. So it can’t record. The zoom works. Any solutions?
Thanks.
There can be many reasons until it is disassembled and seen, I can't give you an answer to the problem.
What cartdridge are u using exactly??
