So grateful I came across this video! I just stumbled upon your channel while searching the interwebs for film photography pro tips (I'm buying my first film camera tomorrow & am so stoked!) But this was a sweet little treat to come across, as I have a body of work I've been contemplating making into a zine. It's a self-portrait series accompanied by written word, poems and such, that I've been working on for the past year. But I've overthought it so much and I've been staring at these images I've taped to my wall (similar work process!) that I've discouraged myself by my own work lolol. This video was just the inspiration I needed to follow through on this project- so thank you for that! I've been having what seems like a creative quarter life crisis. >.< Anyway, your work is mad brilliant! Keep creating! Looking forward to your endeavors.

I'm so happy you got the help of a graphic designer! I'm studying and getting my major for it and people don't realize how much we know and what final touches we can make to help people with their work and making it to their standards. Like you said, some people don't even think about font, or placement, or paper, but it really all makes a difference!

Dude... you effectively didn't tell what you did (FOR ANYTHING), besides utilizing the "free" graphic artist that wanted to work with you. "We chose a thin paper stock, one that feels good" - Ok... what size/brand/material ? "When printing the book you want to find someone that could work well with the book [[laughed out loud when that was your 'advise']]... I recommend, going with someone locally" - 🤦♂️

the zine you showed at 1:30. how was that plastic cover made with the symbols printed on it? would I be able to print a coloured logo on that?
It's just transparency paper. You can print anything on it, just not white (at least at my printer).
