Hi Catherine. Thank you for your comment.😊 Yes, this technique is from painting, I love when I can combine cake decorating with painting techniques. The cake is covered with simple chocolate glaze (chocolate mixed with oil), but it could also be ganache or any other glaze, even mirror glaze. So nice to hear you follow my fb page, thank you.
