I dug the video quite a bit. I grew up with this series and even bought Rage Wars when it came out. Part 2 is definitely my favorite and the most memorable to me, the music was also something I really loved about part 2. The intro of the video did drag on a bit but I still stuck around for the whole thing.
Turok 2 is interesting game to me. Since 1998 and before the remaster I held the opinion that there was a fantastic game hidden behind the limitations of the N64 and it's rushed development. The N64 version suffered from low fov, crippling fps, and sluggish movement. Navigation and backtracking was a nightmare because you couldn't use the safe stations to warp between other safe stations, Adon could only restore your ammo and health once per level, the Nuke had no effect on the Primagen rendering it pretty useless by the time you get it, and the distance fog was way closer. The remaster was a Godsend because it fixed all of those issues and even introduced a number of enchantments as well as adjustments (such as certain parts of some levels being made less labyrinthian and more open). It truly made Turok 2 that amazing game I knew it had the potential of being, and I can finally have no conflicting feelings towards it. It truly is the best one out of the trilogy, and easily one of the best boomer shooters ever. If they ever make a Turok 4, they should use T2 as a basis and improve from there. With a little bit more of T1 in terms of it's themes.
BEWAREOBLIVIONISATHAND We used to rent N64s from the video store and grab the first Turok. When I finally got my own, I had the 2nd one and it was the shit at 12 years old.
Haven’t played the third game since the current price point simply isn’t worth it. Played 1/2 and had a lot of fun with both of them. Let’s hope that Nightdive remasters the prequel Evolution so they can fix its issues. Along with abandoning the 2008 reboot. I LOVE how the setting is purposely REALLY dumb and over the top. I wish that more games did that.
I have lots of nostalgia for Turok 1 and 2, but for some reason I think 3 is my absolute favorite. Can’t tell you why though. I recognize it is objectively the worst, but something about the characters and story keeps bringing me back to it.
turok one was the strongest of the lot, turok 2 had amazing music, graphics and boss fights, but only 2 of the levels, port of aida and the lightships were fun, the other levels felt a bit overly complicated. turok 3 was just average at best.
If you really want to enjoy T2, you need to slow down, forget all the other weapons and focus on the talon the bow and the warblade Then you hunt those mf aliens, dont let them see you
A great game but holy fuck does the game get very labyrinth like near the end, I mean sure an ancient temple holding ancient artifacts but still, however still better than the objective focus of Turok 2 which is a lot of meandering, wandering, holy fuck a lot of wandering and too many weapons while some being very redundant.
Yes, the saving in Turok 2 was added in the modern release because back in the day the only way to save was in some especial portals.
Looove the two first Turok games.
subbed i love turok

Perhaps Turok Evolution should be remastered someday.

jajaja, there's nothing better than an native american with ak-47 hunting dinosaurs
I feel like the first prey, was either a rehash of turok or like a loose remake of sorts
Oh my werd!!
What is a “Boomer Shooter”?

I never understood why people have such a hard time with fps platforming.
It was a bit tricky because of the fov in the original n64 version and the camera arch when jumping I didn’t have an issue but
