I loved James in the 80s and 90s, loved them again when they reformed in 2007, felt they hit their peak about 2011 and they’ve continued to make great mucks until now. I was once the highest placed Brit in a remix competition for James' track Curse Curse back in 2014, and got to go to special secret gigs and get backstage passes for a show in Brixton, where Tim told me he used my remix every day in his dance classes. It was a bit of a moment for me, I can tell you. Going to see them do an orchestral show in a couple of months in Bedford. Looking forward to it immensely.
I’m with you my friend I seen them twice last week in Aberdeen and Glasgow and seen them 51 times now and have 51 James T-shirts , one from every gig 💙
James are one of those bands live who impress, Tim has a fantastically smooth clear and on-tune voice it's a real pleasure to be at one of their gigs and the atmosphere is special due to audience participation. Only seen them once at the Hop Farm, or maybe it was Tim solo.
So many albums over the years take me back to specific moments and memories in my life going all the way back to the early 90's. So excited to make more memories as they continue to pump out great tunes.
Just had my first show. Absolutely incredible. I’m only 28 so I missed the 90s but they still got it that’s for sure. It was a double headline so only got 11 songs. But Johnny Marr was the other act so couldn’t complain!
Love them between Seven and Millionaires. They are stil an amazing band but I just grew old and can't quite get excited with their newer stuff. I´ll see them in Boston in 2 weeks, though!
The late 90s messed up so many people for a length of time, it knocked so many off track and then they came back a decade later, and James was no different, they could have packed it in then, but they got back together and have been strong ever since
I saw them back in... probably 1984 when they supported The Smiths. I saw them at the Ulster Hall in Belfast. Tim used to do this shaking thing on stage. They were probably better than The Smiths as The Smiths played some of their hits twice which maybe meant they hadn't a large repertoire at the time. Oo! Look at me with the fancy words!

@Dreyno True you have to work tirelessly at it, have talent and luck but research has shown that less and less kids from working class backgrounds are finding their way into the arts. Also young people from privileged backgrounds are more likely to have the social connections it takes to break into that industry.
I couldn't agree more on the ageism in music. Far too many great songs and bands are never given the platform due to not meeting the youth demographic.
James are better being a Famous unknown band rather than a Famous band , if that makes sense . Flying under the radar makes for better music rather than the mainstream rubbish out there now .
@@barnigranero5882 sure, but I think you can agree that Oasis were the most successful of the genre. globally. In the same way Nirvana defined Grunge, but there were other bands from Seattle who wouldn't be happy with that characterization. therefore it's reasonable to describe the britpop era as "laddish" even though many people who like Britpop are not.

Quite simply an outstanding achievement by an outstanding band in a world which is so biased towards young social media based TH-camrs ❤️❤️❤️James ❤️❤️❤️
James are still bringing it. Yummy is incredible. Just saw an incredible gig in Toronto .
Good on you Tim I love music from the 90 god bless you love James till the day I die my favourite band in the world

My heroes. 3 gigs this year booked, takes me to 35. Amazing success and Yummy is fabulous.

Brilliant mate. Totally addictive!
Talented guys, I am happy for them.
An absolutely fantastic band, awesome live and just get better and better. So underrated
Hope the new generations find James now and run with them as i have since 1992
Saw James at the Lytham Festival earlier this year - absolutely wonderful! Joyous!

time is horrifying, creeps up on you without realizing but happens to everyone! interesting interview, one of the best from C4 in a long time.
Saw James live at Glastonbury on ecstacy and LSD and they were terrific.
Looking forward to see them live for the first time next month in Valencia.
Hope you have a great ttime. I'm sure you will.
But be careful, they're quite addictive

He looks like Anton Lavey, improbably.
Sixty-four years' young.
Good luck to him.
FOUND!!...The next Bond villain. Get him a white fluffy cat now!
Absolutely amazing band
Great to see James still making music.
one of the most iconic and creative british band for 40 years, it's a shame they are so underrated and not promoted here in France !
Love them between Seven and Millionaires. They are stil an amazing band but I just grew old and can't quite get excited with their newer stuff. I´ll see them in Boston in 2 weeks, though!
you'll be pleasantly surprised. the live show is incredible. enjoy!
Just get better and better ,brilliant live .
Love james excellent
i love this band. they are my muse.
Best band live!!
Amazing ❤
Great Band ❤❤❤.

James you have the power to fix us!
64 yrs old fair play to him. Wonder how long he can do it for before 'retiring' and playing one off gigs instead of long tours.
Seen this band live a good few times now. You can tell there only doing it because they enjoy putting on a show 🎉
Love Tim and his baggy pant's!
Platt Fields 1985…first band I saw live.
This is the news! The only news! Its OUR world!
Stoke the fire, it's down to sparks.
See you all in Razzmatazz Barcelona!!
Fucking Love James🎉❤
Man city supporting Bowie
First time I saw them
A long time ago 😢😅

Probably the Meat is Murder tour, James were the support act on that.

Yes a huge chunk of people in entertainment and media have the same elite educational background.

Britpop wasn't "laddy"
Pulp definitely weren't
Suede weren't
Blur wrote songs criticising lad culture.
but the genre was/is defined by the most successful, so Oasis defined Britpop for most people.
@@kriskalpa Except that Common People is regularly voted as the most popular Britpop song!
Also Britpop was first used to describe Suede.
