Love that 'beasties' like this are still around and that there are people with the old World skills to restore them, maintain them and run them instead of letting them sit miserably in a static museum!. Great job!.
These old single cylinder tractors lend a whole new meaning to the term torque. Their low rev grunt is what makes them so practical. They can be turning so slowly that they are almost stopped and yet still have pulling power.

Nothing about it seems appropriate for working the fields. Like Tim said, it is certainly a beautiful machine. Is it a fire department tractor for pulling a pumper or ladder unit?

This one was designed for transportation challanges on the roads. The Top speed is 35 km/h (16.5 mph). I remember, when I was a boy, circus or funfair people tow their cars with such Machines from Town to Town.
When I was a kid the neighbour of my best friend used to have an old Lanz Bulldog tractor. It was in pristine condition like this one. I always get happy seeing one.

Das war noch richtige Wertarbeit. Zuverlässig und nur schwer kaputtzukriegen. Und wenn doch mal was nicht richtig läuft konnte man es selbst reparieren.

amazing he's not brain dead from breathing all that exhaust.. maybe one day he'll forget where he is and just sit there not driving out the garage until he passes out stone cold. all that effort restoring and not an cent spent on ventilation.

Mit Servolenkung aber dann mit der ollen Heizlampe vorglühen? Wie paßt das denn zusammen? Die wurden doch damals schon hauptsächlich mit Benzin und Anlasser gestartet...😉

В двигателе калильное зажигание.как на дизельном калильная свеча.во время работы греется от сгорания топлива.работать может и на растительном масле и на сырой нефти,😆

Wow I've actually never seen a Lanz like this before. Looks like a cross between a tractor and an old convertible coupe. Marvelous machine!

This used be in cement plants in 1940s as tractor for moving limestone from mine to cement plant site ..
