The machine in this video is Version 1. Version 2 is the one you describe with the ergonomic handle of the portafilter. There's now a V3.
do you know if the disk in the middle should be removable for version 2?
omg i struggled so much with taking the gasket out, and also moving the damn screw in the middle!
The machine you service is a v1. On the v2 you can remove the disc you mention around 2:13 plus the housing around the disc looks different.
So obviously a V1.
I need to do a tune up on mine. I've had mine for 27 1/2 years.I do regular cleaning but sometimes starts over heating.
Im sure a waterpic would be helpful

you should not use steel brush on brass
