So far I've only done covers of songs I can find acapella/vsqx of. This time I used software that splits vocals from song, so I'd have bigger selection, but quality may suffer (and said software probably won't work on 100% of songs). What do you think about using this? Anyway, thank for suggestions
Like you said, it's not very reliable and the quality suffers. I don't recommend using this for covers like this, especially with vocal synths which are harder for softwares like that to analyze. This song came with a MIDI, and assuming you have a vocal synth software, you can simply import that and edit it from there. If you don't know how, you may want to find someone who does know how to do that.
im sure @R.I.P. would be more than willing to give you the file with just the vocals if you asked :0 this is amazing. I'm sure any vocaloid producer would be willing to do so if you ask!
this is funky as hell (good kind of funky). it's a BIT of a shame that the quality of the vocals suffered from the software split, but it honestly kinda works in this case???? the hushed tone kinda fits the instrumentals pretty well, and the warbly-ness kinda does too...
