Owner of Apex Genesis here. A few questions for you SVG. We chatted a bit over discord but wanted to ask this on the YT video. Whenever we play SR it's an absolute stomp - Game is over at the laning stage, feels like we never even had a chance to play dota. But whenever we play Nouns, we can be competitive with them. We've taken series off them in the past, and in G2 of the Riyadh quals we were up 13k before we threw the game. In your opinion, why is there such a disparity in the quality of games of my team against these two teams, who are seemingly evenly matched (and Nouns might even be better)? Another topic I'd love for you to talk about is how to revitalize the T2/T3 NA scene. There is NOTHING in the T2 scene. It's just SR and Nouns and random stacks. I wanted to make a team of up-and-coming talent, to give them a shot to make it in their pro career - Pay them something so they could focus on full-time pro dota, and use this as a springboard to get noticed. That's one of the reasons I formed Apex in the first place. The other strategic thought process was - If SR get auto-bids (which we assumed at the time) to LAN's, we would just have to beat Nouns to make it to some of these international events. Obviously our assumptions here ended up being wrong, but I don't regret making the team and I'll likely continue in through next season. The problem I ran into - there are a few players but there is just NOTHING at certain positions beyond a few quite old/experienced players. As an example: Pos 4 - Who do you get? FLee? B9? I could not find any up-and-coming NA player at the Pos 4 position, so I had to reach out to bring in EU players. Pos 2 - Somewhat similar. Tried out Red2, stuff didn't work out. RCY has sky-high potential but he's not serious about pursing a pro dota career at this point. Who else is there? Looking forward to next season, I'm running into the same issue. I'm going to have to import because there are no realistic options at those positions. There are a few different players at 1, 3, 5 that I want to give the shot to. But that's also why I wanted to create the development league. To foster the gap between high-level pub players in NA and a professional team, and enable players like a lil_nick or a Double King or a Skyward to grow as players to the point where they're ready to join a pro team. So I'd like to hear your take on it. What would you do, how would you revitalize the T2/T3 NA scene?
Regarding the different outcomes between nouns and SR - Arteezy / Bulba centered teams thrive on snowballing the game from the laning stage. Historically, just look at RTZs Team Secret iteration or EG - heavy focus on winning the lanes and playing from ahead claiming objectives. All those teams were capable of executing a timing based game plan. It also shows in hero choices: Heavy focus on mid game power spike heroes such as Weaver or SF back in the day. The way they dominate NA quals is by executing the tempo and never letting those tier 2/3 teams get to play. But during TI runs, they always come short eventually to teams like OG or LGD who were able to play and win from behind. It's a great strategy to ensure qualifications and placements in tournaments, but offense doesn't win championships. Whenever they were 'found out' and teams started to find a way to stabilise the games by that winning that one important midgame fight to stop their momentum, they just crumbled. I believe it will never change with RTZ.
Question for Avery: As an ex-pro that still plays the game at a decently high level, with the return to a model of more tournaments around the year, do you believe it possible that we see more and more ex-pros/talent joining teams to compete in a tier 2 to 1.5 level in dota? People like you, Fear, Wagamama, Synderen, Pieliedie, etc.
Avery, or as we call you down here the King of the Abyss, can you tell us a little bit about your time in Quincy Crew and playing with Quinn, maybe a story or something, and also do you have any opinions on the young carry Satanic? I'm from Sweden and I stayed up all night, sleeping like 2 hours before going to work, just to watch NA stuff. Absolutely loved it!
any chance this goes up on other podcast apps as well? im using some 3rd party app, and have never used spotify or owned an apple product - would be nice to listen at work!
My question for Avery and Cap is about the preparation that the best teams at the highest level make for their games? Do they talk before about what items everyone will get to try to align for a specific timing? Do they talk about what rotations at what times players are going to make? Do they know all the heroes that each of the opponents play when going into drafts? Or are the boys just out there basically playing pubs and all that high level stuff is innate? (Also what do all the players and coaches have on their papers when they go in to drafts is that their own team's hero pool or the enemies or combinations to look for?)
On Gabbi's stream he said that they were already in good terms with Abed a week before the Riyadh qualifiers. Also on Philippines having a fist fight with your friend makes your friendship stronger :) lol
SVG: what was the most important concept in Dota that made in you improve your gameplay while playing in the professional scene? Huge fan since Quincy Crew days, Cheers.
So, two things: 1.) Whoever did the Naruto Sasuke thumbnail is Godlike. God some of the Pinoy memes watching blacklist were hilarious. 2.) We need an SVG skin for Oracle in game, NOW.
A question for SVG: what is a squad from the past that you wished had done better or stuck around longer? Someone you wish had maybe won something or had a really deep run. Personally I wished T1 from TI10 had stuck around longer.
SVG bro, confirm that you listen to old-school hiphop and watching Louis C.K. every day. I mean that kind of content you're spitting has to have an inspirational source.
Hypothetically, which Riyadh qualified team would Saberlight do the best on (which team would he get the furthest on at Riyadh) if he were to sub in as a pos 3?
Hey @cap and @svg I have a question for SVG. When you were a player, how is the culture impact to play with a SA player like LESLAO? I'm brazillian and I really enjoy when SA players have some space in the scene
SVG, I have noticed that all my friends that are high rank are very easy to tilt, while the more timid players often are lower rank. Do you think this is the same in professional play? Were the more succesful players are the ones that are more easily tilted? If yes, then why do you think that is?
I would like a g to discuss the addition of innate abilities and how this affects the game. Some heroes feel very much the same, but others feel widely different
SVG what's your take on abrupt Buybacks in team fight where you can't join your team after BB- Sometimes You die 1 by 1 Buybacking all and running into fights - Is it Pre Planned by Orgs or they are trained for this.
I have now watched 3 episode, and you guys havent mention Tundra one time. Like come on!! Give us an update on them. Are topson still spamming dazzle? Pure started to play Ursa? (3rd best hero this patch. After SK and Cent) And yes i am a Tundra fan
I am wondering what does SVG thing of Dyrachyo's performance in the last 6 months? I personally think he is playing recklessly causing many problems to his team, is it due to stress or anxiety? Also, I think Ace's hero pool is very predictable, which could be a disadvantage. If Dyrachyo continues playing like that, I do not think they can win any tournament this year.
Question for SVG: do you think it could be possible to train a team of 5 ancient players that are good, but don't take the game that serious and play for fun and bring them to pro scene? Or pro scene is strictly reserved for the degen young one type of ppl?
SVG Question: Will Shopify ever get its act together or is Arteezy just a player who can't break through in the big games? (almost called him Cliffteezy)
Svg - why you dont go and f save sr? go be the captain plz! This team for real dont get the basic of draftig.. last pick clinkz for rtz vs a storm, ck... this is the most greefing thing i have seen in weeks.. (even if they put ns carry on rtz and last pick timber for mc was more ok)
SVG, do you think Dota can be a healthy hobby (as far as gaming can be)? For example for making friends/social connections. Every Dota player probably can relate to the feeling of wasting one's time (currently trying to get into LoL to have an easy exit from the genre :P). Or are perhaps Dota players inherently those who seek to spend too much time playing video games.
if you can regulate time , its perfect . I have met people who have made life long friends and even found life partners in this game . Enjoy your time and dont do result based gaming
1 are you antivaxxer 2 are you a christian nationalist/.patriot 3 are you voting for trump as he got stolen last time 4 how much effort did you put in researching your health and how much effort do you consider necessary and a dota one . did you ever admire mason? what went wrong?

Answer this man SVG
You got this my dude! 💪🔥
This is some legitimately fascinating insight. @cap @svg please address this!

Avery just earning the title of the ORACLE with these predictions
Shopify vs Nouns did go 5 games, Nouns did win, but Shopify did claim game 3. All predictions correct. That's super impressive
Svg was always good at his job. He should be held in higher regards in terms of his coaching imo.
@@Jebuary127 He's from the darkest, deepest pits of the abyss called NA region brother, of course he got it right
SVG absolutely spot on with the predictions
Why so short ? need to listen SVG rambling as long as Purge patch video
Shirley he will stream soon. Shirley
Looking forward to the NA recap when it happens
My one question that is not really a question is, make this longer man. This content is fire.

For avery, Secret's defense against the dark arts pos 4
Mr. Avery: Are we going to have a test ever again? I have been taking notes and is getting hard to manage.
So, two things:
1.) Whoever did the Naruto Sasuke thumbnail is Godlike. God some of the Pinoy memes watching blacklist were hilarious.

Violence isn't the answer but the question and the answer is YES!

How happy is Cap with SK being OP right now?
iirc he's an SK lover
Question for Avery: Favorite Pro player name? Bonus: Favorite name twist for bad plays? (Ie. Shartsqueezy, 23Cabbage, etc.)
I have now watched 3 episode, and you guys havent mention Tundra one time. Like come on!! Give us an update on them. Are topson still spamming dazzle? Pure started to play Ursa? (3rd best hero this patch. After SK and Cent)

ask svg: do you think you should bet on dota now that you got basically every prediction correct?
What does SVG think happened with the moon landing?
I am wondering what does SVG thing of Dyrachyo's performance in the last 6 months? I personally think he is playing recklessly causing many problems to his team, is it due to stress or anxiety? check out abed's sf in game 2 vs talon they were down 1-0 and abed masterfully carried balcklist in that game
Question for SVG: do you think it could be possible to train a team of 5 ancient players that are good, but don't take the game that serious and play for fun and bring them to pro scene? Or pro scene is strictly reserved for the degen young one type of ppl?
With all the players currently playing, what would DREAM TEAM by SVG look like?
Question: what does svg think about his dead discord :)
Abed sf and Gabii mars very impressive.
Will svg use his new found prophetic powers for good or for evil?
Nice call on secret mouz series

Damn jack chen plays 21 games per day average
i have 2 questions for Avery: 1) What happened to his hair? 2) is the gif of him dancing real ?
More interesting question is why such a high percentage of dota players are going bald. Is it the lack of sunlight?
Svg: 1) do you believe aliens built the pyramids? 2) thoughts on JFK assassination being the CIA? Thank you
