The State of Washington desperately needs a "one-family, one-judge" policy. Restraining orders, custodial orders, contempt, temporary orders, division of assets -- all in front of _one_ judge per family.
It’s such a joke! Nothing gets done but putting money in lawyers pockets. Hearing after hearing with clueless judges.

Mosy of the time parents aren't dangerous to their kids...its all fluff and exaggeration.
Let kids and parents visit... the court makes it worse in more cases then they fix issues.
In this case.....sexual predators as the new parent partner.....BS. Full protection order necessary and background checks on new parent relationships is absolutely reasonable. Bring a sexual predator into my childs home and things would get real spooky.

When I saw which Dakota Meyers this case was talking about my heart sank! She is a danger to children, ALL children. Her poor baby walked around with a broken arm and no treatment. Her own family was sickened by her and she couldn't control herself at a single hearing. I absolutely see the concern GAL is having with Dad. 100%
Why are these child abusers allowed to provide testimony?
These judges/commissioners in Washington state are a shit show. This is ridiculous. They act like they are there to protect the children yet run parents through so much stress with all these delays, orders to put out hundreds of dollars on all these things. There is a whole cottage industry that has popped up around this nonsense. Take this drug test, hire a company to supervise your visit, take another drug test. Pay a GAL. After each of these, 5 more delays. It's ridiculous.

Ok, but the parents put themselves there. They were unable to come to any agreement without cuckoo accusations, restraining orders, motions, etc…that’s the price you pay for acting in that way and not putting your children first. Nobody told them to come to court and argue for months, with the result being that they get split custody in most cases. Additionally, these parents are on government assistance, so the state takes the cost. They also are paying for lawyers, so they only have themselves to blame. It doesn’t have to be so contentious.
It was nice to see a judge order follicle and UA tests to be completed the same day. More judges should do this.
Not generally a fan of Twyla, she seems a little one sided most of the time and usually doesn't have much valuable input. Ms. Kahl is the best GAL.

The mom is the one who was living with a child molester. She also tested dirty for alcohol and weed after she tried to get out of taking a test. She said she was out of town. And wanted to test the following day.... She was at a medical appointment. Judge said "figure it out"...She knew she would test dirty. All of dad's test were clean.
I will never understand why so many women insist on using sharpies to draw their eyebrows on. Please stop.

I've noticed in a lot of cases the GAL's have a little too much power.
The Judges normally rely on the GAL alot as they go to the homes and talk with family and friends. They know alot more of the case than the Judges do.

The father may as well be a mannequin. He turns up every hearing in the exact same clothes and hasn’t muttered a word. His lawyer has really thrown a lot of false allegations around over and over without proof and I’m failing to see how this is all still in progress it seemed simple to me. I think the Mum was right to take the kids and now knowing who the dad is with says it all.

Dad took child because mom was living with a child abuser. The charges were dropped, against dad. Mom ended up testing dirty. The father's roommate is the mom of the witness who lost her child.
I can appreciate how much these parents love their children. Unfortunately divorce comes with a cost. Constant legal battles like this could end up costing each parent almost $50k.
It really hurts my heart when I see that the parents hate each other more than they love their children. Hate, inevitably will take over every aspect of your life.

Having food stamps with your kids on your case doesn’t mean you have or had the kids. My husbands first wife was getting food stamps and medical for both of their kids and she never saw them.

Toxicology Lesson of the Day: Fentanyl is a Separate result when it comes to testing. It does not show up as a general "Opioid" like Morphine will. That said, if this is a Forensic testing lab, they should absolutely have sufficiently precise testing methods to test for each individual Opioid, rather than general opioids. So, either they went to a BAD lab, or the guy's lying.
I agree except that it's an easy fix You very the lab, which it seems that court uses specific labs. Some tests auto include fentanyl and others are an add on. All they (court, CPS, etc) need to be specific in the contract. Some judges don't understand the difference in synthetic and what tests show it

I cannot stand the GAL and her ultimate bias in this case. To ignore the fact that the mother has a history of alcohol abuse and then focus on the dad w/o acknowledging that he's had custody of the children for the longest w/o any incident.
I disagree, dads lawyer is a piece of work. I’ve seen him on other cases he twist the truth or out right lies and w this case they lived is why he keeps saying “the children lived w my client primarily since being born and in the same home” mom moved out of the hm leaving dad in that home is why. Mom even said she was in the home till after the holidays that dad/lawyer claimed she was mia during all that time and she had pictures of them in the home to prove it. I don’t agree she should have kept them from dad even when drug concerns she should have filled with the court for supervised visits and or drug test.

He took the child back. Mom jumped in the back of truck. Called 911 said she was being kidnapped. Charges were dropped against dad after the facts were presented. Mom accused dad of using drugs, but she was the only one who tested dirty for alcohol and weed. She had tried to delay getting the test, as she knew she was dirty. The child ended up back with dad with the same 3-4..4-3 scheduled. Both parents have an equal amount of time with child. Mother still tries to change the parenting plan. I don't know either of these parents. But I live in the same city and remember hearing on the news about Dad taking child away from mom living with child molester.
@@zdkp dads hair follicle test were only 5panel and those don’t show the drug he was on which is fentanyl. Experts have testified in court to it being a synthetic drug and not showing on a 5 panel with opiate testing. It has to be 17 panel. Now he did take one of those at her request bc he only took a 5. But the rest he only took 5panels an his lawyer acted like he just kept forgetting to do the 17panel. But with him relapsing 3-4x in 2023 means he can be clean for a couple months then a relapse can lead him bk into full blown addiction. Her delaying 1 day will not change a hair follicle test. Maybe a UA if she drinks which water(even doubt that) but hair follicle goes bk 90-120 days. And she failed for weed and alcohol both of which is legal in WA and she didnt have the child that day/2 with the alcohol in her system so tbh her results are not bad. Its not fentanyl which is highly worrisome and imo had the judge had dads rehab documents at the first hearing he would have got supervised visits. First hearing hewas only out of rehab 2months! There are toddlers dying of fentanyl od bc there parents exposing them. It can get in your system through clothes even cops have had reactions. I didn’t see any evidence of a chimo in the home. Only accusations from dad/lawyer. She said and believable that he gave her a different last name and they only went on a couple dates. So you act like she intentionally knew she had a pedo @. Once she found out she cut it and he had been in jail for most of that yr from like a month after she casually dated him a couple dates.
Honestly my now 22 yr old son and 11 yr old daughter were covered from knee to ankles from 9 months old when they began walking until present time. My sons now retired pediatrician at his 9 month old appt even said she could tell he was already walking and all boy. And from that age until at least 7 years old I swear she had us a fast pass to the ER for traumas and injuries. Again he was all boy! My daughter is the same way except traumas that have landed us in the ER as much. But kids are kids and many bruises can be just that. Obviously authorities know about the bruises and stuff that can be attributed to abuse than childs play. If their pediatrician has no issues and even reports that there’s no concern they are the best confirmation of that because they see young kids so often their first years. And more so if there’s acute illnesses when they’re little. But I hope allegations aren’t being made just to add to the mud slinging.

Omg-the girl that the dad is using as a “witness” had her own case on YT and it was WILD. She lost parenting time, her partner abused her daughter & she was in denial, she was rude & disruptive. Not the most credibility here.

If mom is not working, how can she afford an Attorney? Fentanyl is an opiate and Mr. Anagousteau already addressed that Ms. Corrie! What is the tattoo on Mom's neck? This is painful to watch, so many court dates. Her father is not a good idea anyway. Mom is moving into a new town meaning child exchange problems? I would love to see the Court hearing!
Well, it doesn't show in a standard drug panel because it's a synthetic opiate. Others like buprnorphine don't either. Some larger panel drug tests can detect it.
However, he DID take an expanded panel drug test after it was requested by mom and he passed it. Ms Corrie sometimes bugs me, she really likes to side with mom's, and will blatantly disregard facts on the side of the father, to the detriment of the children.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned in watching these family court cases, it’s that the courts can order anything whether it’s justified or not and that the courts can and will and DO base temporary custody orders with no factual basis regardless of jeopardizing the children’s well-being in doing so. I’ve watched these cases and I’m blown away that mom only has supervised visitation despite doing absolutely nothing wrong yet factually dad is a fentanyl addict who threw his son in a car going 80 in a 25 and has been caught lying, yet mom is the one who now requires supervised visitation? 😡 I thought now that Nelson was gone I could watch cowlitz county again but this lady sure rubs me the wrong way.
Totally agree. I usually agree with the comments from the lady that runs this channel but not at all on this case. I saw straight through the dad from the start and disagree with most all the channels assessments. Team mom all the way. It’s so obvious to me.
I disagree. I see Mom throwing crazy accusations all over the place, Dad passed the UA's if he was a fentanyl addict he wouldn't pass. You gotta do opiates daily to be normal and that means you can't pass the drug screen.

What a very tuff case, it is very hard to believe either one of these parents. Ms.Corrie the GAL seems very one side in this case and others I watched her do!

Watching these just make me appreciate and love my parents more. They divorced when I was five (many moons s ago). But our best interests were what were important to them. My Dad felt we were better off with our Mom but always wanted us to live with him. My Mother never stopped us from being with our Dad. When my brother chose to live with my Dad I know it hurt my Mom but she let him go. They never accused each other of any wrong doing. My Mom always made sure we called our Dad. They never had a bad word to say about each other. Come to think of it it’s probably why none of were traumatized by their divorce. We just accepted it for what us was. And again we know they loved us.

It seems like stay at home parents get a bad rap in divorce and custody cases, but I think it's ideal when one parent can stay home with the kids, married or not. It's not usually possible for single parents to do that but if a single parent is able to maximize thier time with their child like that without taking advantage of public assistance programs or cheating the child support system, it should be applauded imo. In a perfect world, divorced parents would work together to ensure at least one of them is available to their kids just like married couples do. Grandpa is a good man for making that possible for his grandbabies ❤

I'm just thinking that dad is the bad one here. Wish there was an update. I think it's horrible that a parent would put their children through CPS and even sometimes doctors testing for sexual abuse just to get back at the other parent. The children need both parents.

Dakota meyers just had a baby, didn't she? Not a fan of dad or his lawyer. I have listened to this without watching most of it so i didnt get to see thw commentary. I do think this is a tit for tat situation and mom is ready to move but dad is out for blood. In the end nothing will happen and they will be made to coparent.

So what do you do if you really don't have the money to pay for the hair follicle test? Like flat broke with no way to get the money? Those things are expensive especially for the higher panel ones.
The court considers that not their problem if they cannot afford the ordered tests and they can be fined or jailed for contempt.

I've been watching court hearings for quite a while. Many different channels. And what are the biggest problems? I find beside the blatant bias for the mother's. Is that the change of judge each time? Causes nothing but problems. I watched a video yesterday. That had 15 hearings each time a different judge. The mother downright didn't do court orders. Each judge would give a second chance so with it being a different judge, each time they kept giving her chances. Whereas, if you dealt with one judge, you would see the blatant. FU to the judge motions more.I'm inclined to think if one judge is constantly not being listened to concerning orders that a defendant would be in contempt a lot sooner.. in the above mentioned case the child was failed the father who did everything correctly was trying to protect his daughter from the many felon men the mother exposed daughter to.

Seems as if the GAL is picking sides, when she should only be on the children's side. I've never heard of needing a special test for fent, our tests will pop a postive opioid no matter what kind . Seems odd they keep harping on a specific tests.

It is absolutely ridiculous that these cases have different judges who all keep setting cases over and over with no end in sight. Could you imagine what these families could do with the money they spend in court, filing, attorney fees, etc.? They got along well enough to make these children, so why can't they find a way to get along well enough to raise them?
I have often thought about that since I started watching these family court cases!! There's one judge, an older man, in particular, who CONSTANTLY sets cases over..and over...and over..he can never make decisions on ANYTHING, and its infuriating! I don't know how our court system got so messed up, but it needs to be revamped ASAP

These courts are so easy to flip-flop kids back-and-forth back-and-forth.. without any care of how this will affect the child!! they’re so worried about “bumps and bruises” but they’re overlooking the mental trauma this is causing these children AND the parents!!!.!!
So many of these cases where 1 parent is chronically unemployed.

Most of them are addicts tho I've seen mainly with alcohol and meth I feel like that's why they don't or some girls r constantly starting new jobs

I'm really disappointed in Twylla during this case. She's acting almost catty with her snide smiles whenever something positive is said about the Dad. I've always thought she was fair.. this really changes my mind about her.

I think Twylla is being very bias in this case.
In my opinion, she is biased in about 95% of cases. The mother could have a hacksaw in her hand chopping off the kids fingers, but the dad is dangerous.

I’m confused how the mother has a positive alcohol and marijuana test but the GAL says the dad needs tested. He’s the one with the problem. He’s the one that had a negative test and he did not complain about going to take a test.

Is this an American thing with the courts and parents that split up. It seems they rely of the courts to run their lives. My husband and I divorced, we worked out visitation and that was that. What is the matter with these parents. They seem to put their hatred for each other before the children. It is sad and will totally mess up the children.

WOW!! These judges in the court keep dropping the ball, and at the Parents financial expense!! They ordered three drug test testing for fentanyl for the dad, and Mom had to pay for most of them! Then this last time they never even submitted the order for the dad to be tested for fentanyl!!! What the heck is going on here!!
The father keeps dodging the fentanyl tests which is shady AF. You have to specifically test for fentanyl. It’s a synthetic, and isn’t going to show up like heroin or morphine. I also think his abuse allegation timing is suspicious.
@@Nosillampright, it wouldn’t show up as heroin bc it’s not H, it’s closer to an oxy…which it would show up as an opioid on test which was on every test he did and he was negative….he wouldn’t have 3 completely clean test if he was doing Fentanyl, promise you that… He was dodging paying for the 100’s of dollars a 17 panel cost is what I think
Well the mother keeps bringing up his drug history and abuse, so yes she should pay for it.
@allieb4132 it will trigger a positive opioid result tho. It shows up. I deal with these things all the time (I work in the justice field, our clients have court ordered UAs all the time). An opioid will show. Synthetic or not)
If she is bringing it up she has to pay for it for it to be proven
