So dad hasn't been around the child for over a year and he, I believe accurately, points out that mother is the one that has been around him thus she must be a main contributor to the issue. Then the child isn't participating in doctor visits where dad isn't even allowed to go, but dad is still being blamed. I have to side with dad that mom seems to be at least a contributor. I also believe the judge is wrong- the court has *not* done everything that he can do. He has allowed things to drag out and delay. He could first tell mother she is required to have a scheduled appointment with X doctor by a certain date and if she doesn't at least have the appointment, she's in contempt. No more excuses. If she has the appointment, she *has* to take him. No more excuses. Arguably, if he doesn't participate, then place it on her because she's the one allowing the behavior. I do not believe dads temperament makes things better. I believe he can be a hot head. That doesn't explain the issues at the doctor where dad isn't allowed to go and the continued refusal to go to school where, I believe, dad isn't allowed to go either. This specific situation seems more like dad has been a hot head and as a result mom enabled the child to make every decision and he's run with it.

Dad is required to encourage and facilitate a positive relationship with the other parent. He probably doesn’t like that particular point of the statute.

Honestly, I can see where the dad is coming from. If mom keeps moving around like that and getting farther and farther away it makes it harder for him to pay for gas to come get the kids. I think they should put a geographic restriction on both parents or as an alternative make it so that dad does the pickup on Friday and mom does the pickup on Sunday/Monday. That way she'll think twice before moving away again. It's not good for kids to pick up and move a lot as it creates instability. I'm not crazy about dad's lawyer but honestly she is very passionate about standing up for her clients' rights. That's not always a bad thing. And honestly mom is a little arrogant herself. She keeps smirking throughout the hearing. I also find it extremely arrogant of her to whine about having to travel 2 hours to pick up the kids but dad is going to be doing the same thing on Friday since the pickup is at 6pm. And he shouldn't have to take time off work to do that because that's how he pays the child support to her. She's not even working on Sunday so I don't understand what the problem is. I mean is she ticked off that she has to travel on Sunday? It's ridiculous. She needs to learn to compromise. Dad is. He's compromising by having to travel 2 hours to get the kids on Friday and he's also sacrificing his time with his kids in order to work because she is the primary parent. At some point she needs to grow up.

THIS JUDGE SUCKS. I work in the insurance industry mom is sitting back doing nothing. She needs to stay on the insurance provider to get the auth and it DOESNT take 6 weeks. I have worked either Cigna. This mom is lazy AF.

My son has had 3 MRI's in the past 6 months, each one needed insurance prior authorization which took less than 2 days. No way is insurance taking over 3 months to approve a MRI. Also dad told her to begin with the 1st place she wanted didn't take her Insurance. Mom purposefully is stalling. Also there are new studies on tonsils removal showing it doesn't reduce infections as much as they once thought & shows that "both tonsillectomies and an adenoidectomies are associated with higher levels of allergic, respiratory and infectious diseases later in life". I don't see having tonsils removed as a big deal but it's not unreasonable to seek a 2nd opinion. I have a feeling, for once Mom won't drag her feet on that appointment because she wants the surgery done.

Someday, this kid is going to reach adulthood and is going to have a lot of resentment over this time of his life. Time will tell which parent he blames.

I’m with others that have commented curious as to why a divorce that late in life. It would really suck to lose money that you worked your whole life to build up just to lose a majority of it due to a divorce. And it would be very hard for someone that age to get loans to cover. AND she sure is giddy while sitting in the same room together 😂 that cracked me up and i wish them the very best in the years to come ❤️

Historically he has always excelled in dad's care. Even mom, has never made one allegation of dad being abusive or unsafe, just that Hunter doesn't feel like going. What pre-teen wouldn't rather stay home play video games all day & run the show? Dad has appropriate expectations. This child has learned helplessness & manipulation from the mom. No one disputes the fact when with dad: he does great in school, was taken off his IEP, & enjoyed football. It wasn't until mom decided she didn't want 50/50 because dad was making her look bad - dad got him to school & she didn't. Then suddenly Hunter couldn't leave the house. Even IF he has some medical issue- even medically fragile kids see both parents, are involved in school, has socialization, and has some sort of community (while getting care). This mom is crippling this child! Dad comes across angry & frustrated. I don't blame him! If dad did what mom has, he would be in jail for contempt!

This is how some dads abandon their children because they are fed up with this nightmare. A man has not seen his son in months, he's forced to keep paying all these fees like drug tests, GALs, missed work, including maintaining his household and child support and mom has control and is allowed to do this. So 2 years+ missed from the life of a young child because the courts allow this mess. Maybe he needs to divorce Brenda so he can get peace of mind. Brenda is clearly mentally ill and she added to this chaos that cost him visits with his son for 2 years.

I do actually think both parents are TRYING to do what they think is best. Unfortunately, they also hate each other. I get that, but the child definitely needs someone on HIS side. Someone that actually can decide what’s in his best interest. I’m only on the 2nd hearing.

I can see why Dad is frustrated. It is really strange that the problems that this child is experiencing is only when he is with the mother. His mother could be telling him anything to make things worse. If the child is in better health, excels in school and is happy when he is was with Dad, you really have to think about what is going on in his mother’s house. It is not healthy for the child to stay indoors all the time. At 13, he should want to play sports, or other activities outside the house. I honestly think the mother is dragging her feet and brainwashing this young teenager. I know from experience that a teenager can go through trouble times but I also know that there are many ways to get help for him.

I’m dying to see “iPhone’s” case 😂 I’ve seen him lurking in the background of quite a few cases now and one of them he was listening so intently and nodding along when the parties were telling their stories like he was super into their case and very empathetic toward them 😂😂😂 I don’t know what his name is other than iPhone beard guy, but I feel like whenever I run across his case eventually, it’s gonna be epic haha
