Thanks! Just replaced my power steering pump and hoses successfully. The most difficult task for me was dealing with the hoses near the tire, there's very little room to swing a wrench around. I'd recommend using one of those cut-away sockets to get a good grip on them. This project also made me realize how dangerously close multiple things are to the serpentine belt, ha.
Great video thanks. The 2nd gen dakota, durango, and Cherokee all have problems with power steering systems. Nice to see how someone else deals with it!
Have you run into engine bogging down when cranked to one or other side? replaced this pump reservoir and my 3.9L still stalls.. like the pressure on the fluid is too high? only v8s have a pressure sensor switch so I can't do that.
Hey Guys! He's talking about the visual sight around frames :40 . If my Late Grandpa had stayed alive past 1968, bet He'd a told me that (even though i was 11 and driving his truck around back then).
yeah, I'm not sure why I didn't include the O-rings in the video. there was only 3 that I had to replace, the 2 from the rack and the 1 on the back of the Pump. Other than that, its just matching the sizes.

Thank you for the feedback. Cheers. Goodluck on your repair.
Great vid, same year/model and leaking issue, helped me a bunch!
How do you know when the pulley is all the way in when re-installing? Does it just bottom out and you can't turn anymore?

Great vid thanks it'll make tomorrow a lot easier and faster now👍
Thank you. Good luck on your repair. Let me know how it goes.
Can the 4 bolts mount/engine be removed prior to pulley being removed, to remove pulley on bench top??
that im not sure. at 1:59 i cant tell if that upper bolt would run into the pulley

I have not, Sorry. Does the steering feel light at all when it starts bogging?
Thanks, recently I've been noticing that my Dakota was always low or without any fluid!
I need part number. I have 03 durango with 5.9 and I've seen three different types of power steering pumps but I need this exact one.

Great editing
Why do you have so many pennies on your Truck battery?
Not my truck. But i believe its an old school method for corrosion

Nice job
Thank sir great video
Perfect video
Glad you enjoyed it
The one reason I watched this is to figure out why I have extra O-rings and you didn't even show anything about O-rings
yeah, I'm not sure why I didn't include the O-rings in the video. there was only 3 that I had to replace, the 2 from the rack and the 1 on the back of the Pump. Other than that, its just matching the sizes.
