If you listen to both versions and you have a musical ear you can tell the song was SUPPOSE to be sang in Japanese. The way that she sings the words in that language go with the tempo and flow more fluidly. You can tell in the english version see tried to word it so that it still went with the beat.
@@yoseflopez5141 nah OP is right. This isn’t even really a translation issue because the English version of this song makes sense grammatically. But the real issue is the syllabic stress. You want words/syllables with strong emphasis to fall on the strong beats and the rest on weaker ones to reflect how it would be spoken normally. Writing a song in another language is really hard because of this; you need a relatively high level of fluency in that language for it to not sound weird.

This works so much better in Japanese. Don't have to understand it (I sure don't). But it flows so much better. Now just need a funk band with a real bass to play it. I bet this would sound dope as hell with a real bass guitar.
I think this version is better than the English version and you can tell the English version was the dub because the words in this version go with the actual song....The english version is so wordy and off tempo!!! trying to keep up with who cares if you can understand what its saying...the beat and rhythm are HOOOOT! Some songs do not translate well in othe rlanguages becasue th music is already written for that speecific language! Cuuld you imagine if they had translated teh words verbatim!!!

Littlewater I dunno about that.....the voice in itself doesn't seem to fit the bit tbh. The English version has a better flow to it.
