I have been enjoying your videos since I got back into magic as an “adult “. The longer I watch, the more I learn about how things work etc. So David I just wanted to thank you so much for all that you do. You’re making a lot of people happy and less intimidated by certain magic tricks and I don’t think you could put a price on that. LOVE TODAY’s episode
David. After seeing this for 6 months, and coming back to your review again and again, I finally broke down and got it last week. Not sure why i waited this long. I love this utility and so easy to use. A delayed thank you David. 😂
$150. is a lot for me, but I bought it and I’m glad I did. it’s so much fun to do impromptu in groups of people, restaurants, and bars. One of my best investments - I carry it with me every day (hint - with double face tape, you can use your hands normally and even spread your hand and fingers over their hand)
But I think Flux can be awkward for some people and you have to adjust it. And yes it is invisible but I think Espionage has more flexibility when it comes to positioning and cheaper and they really the same functions.
I actually have had to go through 3 FLUX units because the first one dislodged from the "shell" several times until I eventually lost it. The second one I purchased went all out of whack because apparently the magnet I used was too strong and the gimmick became uncalibrated. The third and final FLUX I purchased I decided to take the gimmick out of the "shell" and place a band-aid around it on the recommendation of a mentalist I know very well. But I left ot on my desk and our cleaning lady just thought it was a used band-aid and tossed it in the trash LOL Espionage grabbed my interested because 1) it's super small 2) It's less money to spend 3) The unit can actually calibrate itself it you happen to use stronger magnets 4) It has an auto-shutoff feature! As someone who does 5 restaurants weekly, I have a tendency to simply toss props back into the pockets when I'm done with a table/group.
Agreed on the Colin McLeod Penguin Live. I have used sooo many ideas from that lecture. He really is brilliant. His multi-staged routine spreads the 'which hand' portion over a longer audience participation so it appears as a small part of the overall revelations. Colin's persona also allowed him to wear several leather bracelets as cover for the device. His idea of forming a window with his fingers to look at the spectators hands is great and gives perfect motivation for passing near their closed hands.
Three things that sell me on this are the battery and the price and the polarity. Maybe I can afford one now... That battery recharge battery issue haunts me on a few of my props including a couple of expensive watches. Thanks for a great review David
Hi David. Thank you for this excellent review! I use several of these devices already and have actually won competition with them. This looks really good! Thank you fir this!!! Your friend, David
Hi and thank you for this review. I am discovering a lot of very good commercial tricks thanks to your channel. I have some questions about this product. Please feel free to answer as you think is appropriate with respect to the product secret. - Do you think it is well made and long-lasting how it could be for example a Murphy's Magic Mental Dice? - Is it true that the signal can be detected at 15 cm of distance as the company declares, or it depends on the size of the magnetic object? - Do you think it's worth the price considering you also have to buy a "special coin" to perform the effect?
This is great. Maybe a pro-tip: cell phones are too damn big nowadays, and so I carry mine in a small belt pack. It visually only looks big enough for my cell phone (and it's needed... no normal pocket is big enough for a modern cell phone!) but there's so much room behind it for devices like this. I even keep a specific "any" card in there, yet it only looks big enough for my phone that is actually in it. Find ways to use your normal garb to hide things. And it looks like this Espionage thing will easily hide like that.
Flux has been mentioned but I write with a sharpie in my act and I think I am the ultimate stealthy. My INTUITION says this is similar but with a replaceable battery. USB charging does bug me because yes the battery is proprietary and not replaceable and the life gets shorter however I feel like I will have to start wearing something with a wristband with this, and that’s OK. I’m prob going to give this a try. This will leave tour hands clean if done right.
But the real question is how does it compare with Flux, the industry standard used by most mentalists who do Which Hand? Other than price. It does feel a bit like this has completely ripped off another product.
Im looking for a euro that would work with this, and a quarter, can anyone point me to a reputable supplier since I think this item does not come with any coins
Can someone just clarify, because I’ve seen a few people ask a similar question but not seen a clear answer………do you need to purchase a gimmicked magnetised coin separately or does it pick up any coin that is magnetic?
Not super-wild to have it broadly out there that such tools exist.... Leaves me a bit in Flux as to how this compares with its main peer, and a bit thirsty to hustle up a little tequila.

wow - great tip !!
Great review and great product. However, my choice would be Pro Mystic's FLUX. Same features but turns 1000000% invisible when palmed.
Thanks for sharing

Thanks for sharing this. This looks really good. I’ve been interested in a which hand device. This one seems to be the best choice
Glad it was helpful!

Thank you so much David. Keep on doing what you do!! You are the greatest!!!
I appreciate that!

this wasn't "made" by Murphy's magic and since this is a NEW release there is no metric to determine how long it will last
Hey David how would you compare this to FLUX
they seem pretty similar but i don’t know which one to choose
I never owned FLUX
Sounds like a cool tool to use to detect a magnetic object. Although I wonder how many different tricks you can do with it.
probably not many
Thanks David. Did you ever use Flux? I would be interested to hear your thoughts on which you think is better..
never got flux sorry
Love your channel David. What type of coin would be needed to tell if it’s heads/tails?
one that is very attractive 😉

wow how big is your cell phone ? 🤣
Great review. Flux is the way to go for me. Just a few bucks more and super invisible. The gimmick basically palms you.
Right on
Can you use this with any coin euros ect
An attractive looking trick! Looks fun
😊👍
I wish this had come earlier, I have sixth sense and this looks like a steal
sure does !!

why hasn't someone made this tech INTO a wrist band?

Tango extra strong.
I think they have 50 cents and 2 euros
Excellent review David 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it

their web page says it's a "magnet detector" iarvelmagic.com/products/espionage-by-iarvel-magic
@@magicorthodoxy Thanks David 👍
But will the next version be even smaller .... And be able to tell the date of the coin 😊
one day I am sure
Bro, I'm up stupid early and find a new video from you. LOL I'm happy about it. Had to say hi. It can't be daylight where you are. lol.
Morning!
Yeah i think it would need to be more than 50 bucks cheaper than flux.. Do you have flux and do you know how it compares?
I do not have FLUX sorry
What is your all time favorite IT levitating device?
LOOPS
@@magicorthodoxy who has the best loops, in your opinion?
loops brand loops
A great review 😊😊
Thank you 😁
How good is the reading distance?
I wouldn't want to be too far away then you would not know what you were "reading"
Thanks, gef
🪝 you're welcome
It looks like it has sold out, thanks for the review.
I don't think so, just reach out to them, they might not have updated their website
$150.00 is still too expensive for me!
I understand
Sorry but its funny 250 usd is a TON but this is “just” 150 usd 😂 both are either expensive or just right if its what you need.
yup
Wish this had been around when I got Flux. Flux is great but again pricy. That said flux is super stealth the way you hide it.
but can you still get FLUX?
@@magicorthodoxy Yes 199.00 promystic
@@magicorthodoxy Yes
Sounds like a deal.
💰ka-ching

I love me some Tequila Hustler
Getting caught for Espionage, could get you put in front of a "Firing Squad"! Just saying...
😱
To much for me 😢
