I had come to this conclusion also, but only fairly recently, but I couldn’t have expressed it nearly as succinctly as you have.
I thank God for the great gift He has given you and pray that He will continue to enlighten you throughout your life so that you can become the great teacher He intended you to be, bringing many souls home to Heaven.

The Church has never believed that. If that were the case, then works of thousands of Catholic evangelists and missionaries is in vain and the Gospel message would not have been spread to every corner of the Earth.

Even the missionaries in foreigns countries has worked EXACTLY by attraction, by helping and taking care for peoples in need in these foreign countries. see the Examples of St BOSCO or Mother THERESA. My children and I prayed for their father, my husband, for his conversion and for the restoration of our family. Several years later the Lord answered our prayer.He later told me that something spoke in his heart. The Holy Spirit did. It is God who changes hearts.We only have to surrender everything to Him. I was broken and hopeless, I searched the Internet for any guidance I can get, the Lord led me to it's website. Please check it out. The Lord is kind and merciful. May God bless you and your family.

This is so incredibly timely. I am about to travel out to see family and I’ve been trying to get them to revert for three years now. I was preparing myself to continue evangelizing them, even knowing that my pride and desire to win was tainting my efforts. I agree with Cameron about taking the back seat and letting God do the job in reaching out to the fallen-away loved one. Meanwhile we pray and make sacrifices; there is nothing so off-putting to the fallen-away Catholic than for us to be preachy and reproachful. I know this from first-hand experience.

In order to awaken perfect contrition in your heart start praying the Rosary of Seven Sorrows. When you're familiar with it and doesn't devastate you anymore (may take a few weeks to possibly months) humbly plead the Sorrowful Mother to share Her pain with you.
Start doing this every day. Actively and consciously collect the people who need it no matter where or how you encounter them.

I offered my mass intentions for my husband to come into the church, it only took 10 years! Amen, God is Good.
When he began to consider it he asked me for help figuring out how to come into the church, and unlike my usual self, I said no. I think the Holy Ghost taught me to sit down and let him work

I am Catholic, my mom and brother are also Catholic. My mom doesn't have any relatives in the country but my dad has a really big family in the south. His whole family and him are baptists and i made it my goal to convert at least my father before he dies.
I will pray for him!
Religious denominations isn't important. If they believe in God and that Jesus was the son of God with all their heart is the important part. God does the rest.
A reminder Jesus didn't care for the religious, such as the Pharasees who were bound by it and it's rules that THEY created. Just believe God and Jesus as God in the flesh and that he died for all our sins, that He is our savior is all that matters.

The surrender novina was gifted to me by a priest after confession for my penance. I’ve said it multiple times on my own. It’s a powerful 9day novina!
It's intense. I think it's impossible to pray that novena sincerely and not be changed.

Studied Romans all year with my prayer group, and this is one of the main themes. Align ourselves to God’s will, trust and rest in him. He calls who he wants. We just love to the best of our ability with his help. Bless you and thank-you.

Since I became Catholic 11 years ago in my 40's I have definitely learned that "COVERT' evangelizing works better than "OVERT" efforts. Mostly, praying, praying, praying for conversions and reversions with personal prayers, the Rosary, and prayers during Mass and Adoration. I might plant some physical seeds like giving them a Rosary, or Miraculous Medal, or holy card or water, or catholic book I think they would enjoy but the rest is up to Our Lord. That said, I am always ready to defend my faith and the Holy Catholic church if need be.

One of my best friends was lured away from the church and into a sinful life of pride by a girl at a catholic youth group. Many nights have I felt great distress for this and many times have I tried to reach out and many times have I prayed in tears for him to return.

Absolutely SOLID advice my friend, I've read the same thing in Alfonso Liguori's book Conformity to Gods Will. He cites numerous examples of this, even people who seemed completely ordinary but were capable of doing miracles. When asked they invariably answered that the only thing they do is surrender their wills to God and desire nothing but what He desires. This is the secret of sanctity right here. Yes it’s so true! We just need to focus on obeying our Lord Jesus, and that will speak volumes. We had a young girl visit us for 3 weeks from overseas. She offered to pay board but we refused, and gladly hosted her and fed her those 3 weeks. Just showing kindness is enough for people to realize your faith is genuine and makes them curious enough. She came along with us to church, and just being part of our family was our witness of Christ to her. I pray for more opportunities to serve the Lord by being his hands and feet.

We are one in Christ. Just continue to show him love and unconditional love. I converted to Protestant faith but returned to the Catholic Faith after 30 years. God did this by reminding of the love I learnt from catholic education so much so that I craved that belonging. God loves your child more than you do. Regardless of the church he goes to. Love is the most powerful gift and we overwhelmingly conquer all things through Christ who loves us. This video is spot on. Surrender yourself and your son to God and just rest in Gods love.

You did not choose me, no, I chose you; Our forefathers were Muslims. Someone prayed for my conversion, in turn I prayed for my brothers conversion, surrendered totally to God's will.

The Holy Spirit revealed this video to me today in addition to another revelation in the form of a thought in regards to this topic. God's time extends to even past the point of "death." Loved ones may not become contrite, repentant, and open to conversion until they meet Him face to face during their eternal life. Thank you for being a conduit for The Spirit, and thank God for this revelation. I had been so burdened with worry.

I love the Surrender Novena and I found this very helpful and thank you for it. I like so many Mothers and Grandmothers have suffered greatly as my children and grandchildren are not following their faith anymore. I have felt guilt that I must have failed in raising my children properly that they would turn away form God and lost faith that He even exists. It tears me apart but I know God loves my children even more than I do so I surrender them to Him and trust that in God's time they will return to Him.

I was a non believer for most my life, but I'm Christian now, in big part thanks to my girlfriend who always was Christian, and she never preached or talked about God much, just being around her made me curious and to try, so I did and I've never been happier! Although one thing, is I prefer to say I opened my heart to Christ, because saying I "converted" sounds cultish to me, like opening my heart sounds more genuine, but that's just me^^

We have to pray and work. We have to try to find ways to use our words; our actions to help with their conversions. Praying alone is not enough. God wants to use us. We must have uncomfortable conversations. We mustn't push people, but praying alone is not enough.

Yes God works through Spirit so just praying for your loved to convert is good enough. Because God will do things in his time not ours. Sometimes God wants people to learn something before he works in them 100%. God knows which way everyone is walking and he knows when it gets too much for them, just trust in the Lord always. I already know and have prayed this Surrender Prayer countless times. It helped me to be at Peace and yes, in the end, in His time, He made things work out beautifully.

It's one thing that I still struggle with, I fall often to complaint and the presumption of thinking I know what I need more than God, but a good friend made me realize that, were some of the things I asked for in the past given exactly when I asked for them, they would probably push me away from God, by bringing comfort back when my faith was weaker.
Sometimes God's no is the most loving thing He can give us.
God is good! He will lead us where He wants us to go :) God bless you!

We don’t say anything to our son and wife. Both cradle Catholic but in college changed! Not religious at all now. I ask for God’s Will but hoping for SOONER THAN LATER they come back. Same with family members
