I wonder what it would be like for people that actually played at that water park to see how it looks now. I wish people would send you pictures of their times there. That would be so cool to see.
When I was a college geology student in the 1960's, I had a field project in the mtns NW of Baker. I spent nights in the Royal Hawaiian motel, ate meals at historic Pikes restaurant across the street. (Pikes burned down several years ago.) I never used the swimming pool, but the motel was nice then.
BTW: Ludlow was the southern terminus for the Tonopah & Tidewater Railroad. Their shops, yard, and HQ were at the west end of Ludlow. Ruins still exist there. @@jessiesdroneadventures7464
You hit all the places I have vids on in one vid 😂 Nice to see most of the stuff still standing years later. The concrete building in Ludlow that's half collapsed used to be the old Murphy Bros general store. I read somewhere that it partially collapsed from an earthquake years back. It is sad to see so much more graffiti now at Arne's, I don't recall nearly that much the last time I was there. There's a movie called "The big empty" that was filmed at Arne's for the majority of the movie, gives a good idea of what the interior was like back in the day. Cheers.
Hello. I sure wish those places were for sale because I would fix up the house and the motel building and any other buildings and figure out how fix them up and open the place back up.👍
I believe the old Delores Water Park is for sale. Almost 300 acres of desert dirt and abandoned structures BUT the water rights are enticing. 11 million I hear. Lol. It last sold for 1.5 million
I’ve heard of Newberry Springs AFB somewhere online, was there an old AFB there at one time? Good work Sir, new sub here, fascinating old towns that used to be! 😊
My roommate told me about lake Dolores and some of the sick rides. People talk about the future destruction of America but all across the land you can see the past towns and things destroyed by weather, elements, economic conditions like mines closing. Its just really sad.
Hi ya Jessie. Early this year I did a road trip from phoenix. flagstaff. grand cannon. Las Vegas. LA. But the bit I couldn’t do was Sedona to flagstaff on the 89A it was closed (accident) Got as far as the Chapel of the holy cross then had to go back and use the 17. Any chance one you could show us what we missed or maybe you already have but I haven’t found your video yet. Really enjoying your channel. Wishing you a happy Christmas and a successful 2025. All the best from Cornwall UK 🇬🇧

probably not, place is so far gone, the wood in the hotel rooms is rotten, moldy and probably has creatures in the walls........and I dont see that little town as a "booming" town
cheap secluded fun during the winter but 120 during the summer and random wind storms with drifting sand
I love Baker! We stop there everytime we head out that way.
Right! It's always a mandatory stop for us

That would be neat! Ive googled old photos of the place before, I wish I would have included them in this video
I have seen a few, But it may upset the channel owner because it's his competitors if i post the name?
Yes I use to go here all the time as kid they had that lake where you could ride stand up jet ski or. Rent a boat
When I was young I lived in Baker. My Mother worked at Big Boy Hamburger Restaurant. In the 60s!

Hello. I sure wish those places were for sale because I would fix up the house and the motel building and any other buildings and figure out how fix them up and open the place back up.👍
That would be cool to try to revive some of those old places
Seems would be less money to fix up motel and house looked like roof was still good and inside needed some clean up,some paint, windows and doors.👍

No AFB there.
Yes, I have been there, beautiful old houses there is and the airport is there. Most of the homes are abandoned and boarded up. Crazy 🤪
Are you thinking of old George AFB west of Victorville? There was no AFB at Newberry Springs. @@oklahomafreedom5536

Even while your walking around that abandoned pool i was thinking your being "observed"
It definitely felt that way
Very cool, kid 🔥
Gracias good sir!
What is your opinion since you have been to the Royal Hawaiian Motel would it be worth saving and reopened?
probably not, place is so far gone, the wood in the hotel rooms is rotten, moldy and probably has creatures in the walls........and I dont see that little town as a "booming" town
@@jessiesdroneadventures7464 Ok. Thanks for your opinion.👍
Why has everything got scribly paint on it. Good job on the video
