- The OMPHOBBY M4 is the latest Direct Drive helicopter from OMPHOBBY, designed by yours truly, me. This is a smooth and relaxed flight at 2150RPM with a 6S 1800mAh 50C battery on the Charm Orange PVT model. This helicopter is a fully configured production model, the flight performance you're seeing here is what you will receive with the final product.

Lovely flight!! I really appreciate the slower flights as I can actually process what is actually happening, the high speed smack stuff is unreal but I have no idea what’s going on and find it difficult to watch a whole flight…
It would be interesting to see what a scale flight looks like, just for us less talented folk!

Jonas, that is ridiculously good flying, you are now so connected to the heli that it really is world class flying......in my opinion you need to also consider competing in heli world class championships while you are still young and so obviously brilliant at flying. (Nice to see you are still human with the grass cutting demo.)
Nah, competing is stupid. It's a waste of time, material and money to fly at a made up event under made up rules for made up titles, which will do you exactly nothing for you in life. I have better things to do, like working on new products that actually make a difference to this hobby. 👌

Any chance you could show some more autos on it? More specifically non inverted basic stuff? Curious about hangtime
What do you think is the smallest battery I could fly this with? Would a 5s 1400mah work?
Hi Jonas, With esc hobbywing 60a, cyclic servo kst215mg, tail servo kstds565x gyro kbar on m4, is it available? The cyclic servo is a micro-class servo and the tail is a mini-class servo.
Hallo Jonas! Erstmal ich finde die Op Helis echt klasse sie gehen echt tip top.(total genau kräftig) Daher habe ich mir den M4 bestellt da ist dir ja ein echtes Meisterwerk gelungen. Ich flige mit dem m2 evo 70 Prozent Regleröffnung und bin echt total zufrieden da geht er schon ordentlich. Daher denke ich dass ich mich ca bei 2200 Umdrehungen enpendeln werde und desshalb hätt ich gerne gewusst was du mir da für einen Akku empfehlst? den Sls 2200 ter Aku mit 50 C oder soll ich mir einem mit mehr c bestellen? Lg
Is there going to be RTF or BNF versions of the M4 or just in kit and PNP? What else would i need in the PNP version besides the Radio Or is everything included?
Pnp does not include flybarless controller so you need that plus radio receiver and battery
I last flew a heli in real life 20 years ago, now I'm looking to get back into the hobby with this helicopter. Could anyone point me in the direction of a receiver and fbl unit that would be a good choice for the M4? I'm using a Radiomaster TX16S mkII. Thanks! BTW Jonas, your flying style is beautiful to watch. You really have an eye for aesthetics and connecting everything with smooth and creative transitions.
With the TX16S, you can for example use an FrSky FPort/FBus Rx and an MSH Brain or Spirit FBL. Allows programming from the Tx, pretty neat 👌

Hi Jonas, ist von omp ein flybarless verbaut? Ich finde das System im m1 wirklich überzeugend und würde mir dann auch den m4 zulegen wollen.
Hallo Jonas! Ich habe mir den Heli auch gegönnt. Mit deinen Einstellungen mit 1800 und 2500 RPM Fligt er am Brain sehr gut jedoch würde ich gerne auch die 2150 Fliegen daher hätte ich gerne gewusst was du da für Einstellungen im Brain gemacht hast. Lg Markus
In dem Heli war kein Brain, aber wenn du die Einstellungen zwischen 1800 und 2500 entsprechend interpolierst sollte das gut hinkommen 👍

The crash broke one servo arm- Replacement cost appx $0.58 USD 👍

No, just one servo arm. Heli is flying again already 👌
