    TOLL HOUSE PIE
    2 EGGS
    1/2 C. ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
    1/2 C. SUGAR
1/2 C. LIGHT BROWN SUGAR, FIRMLY PACKED
    3/4 C. (1 1/2 STICKS) BUTTER, SOFTENED
    1 C. WALNUTS, CHOPPED
    1 (6 OZ.) PKG. (1 C.) NESTLE TOLL HOUSE SEMI-SWEET CHOCOLATE MORSELS
    1 (9-INCH) PIE SHELL* (UNBAKED)
WHIPPED CREAM OR ICE CREAM (OPTIONAL)
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In large mixing bowl, beat eggs at high speed until foamy, about 3 minutes. Beat in flour, sugar, and brown sugar until well blended. Beat in softened butter. Stir in walnuts and Nestle Toll House semi sweet chocolate morsels. Pour into pie shell. *Bake 55 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between edge and center comes out clean, and top is golden brown. Cool on wire rack. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired. *If using frozen pie shell, use deep-dish style, thaw completely. Place on cookie sheet; increase baking time by 10 minutes.

My sister and I used to bake Tollhouse cookies growing up, and my mom made brownies out of Tollhouse dough, but I never thought to make a pie out of it. Great idea!

Yep, sometimes the recipe will be on the back of the bag sometimes instead of the cookies at least it used to, that’s how, I had gotten the recipe but, it was also in that famous cookbook which is the Betty Crocker Cook Book. It’s like eating the toll house cookies but, gooer if, that’s even a word, love it with pecans.

This is a addictive pie, I made it a couple times as young wife, the gooeyness of it is addictive, I put pecans in it, because, every thing is better with that Southern Georgia Nut in it! It’s funny you would do this recipe because, I have had my mind on this a lot lately!

Hi Tammy, I am new to your channel! I heard of your channel by watching Whippoorwill Holler with Ms.Lori and Mr. Brown, who had watched and spoke of a post of your Momma teaching you how to make her Blue Ribbon sponge cake and said you must go out and watch it because of the beautiful sentiment and respect paid to your Momma brought her to tears and how it will touch your heart!! Ms. Lori posted a link to it and my Lord if I didn’t start crying and did experience exactly what Ms. Lori said about the thoughtfulness of your post!! I have since watched so many of your videos and subscribed because like Ms. Lori you exemplify God and your beautiful family and how loving and loyal you are to your children!! I started watching your bible studies as well! I respect your authenticity, your words of kindness and just how “real” you are!! Y’all are a Blessing to this you tube community!! I pledge to only post positive comments! I also adore your sense of humor you and your kind husband share! ❤

I baked one once not long ago and it wasn’t gooey at all. It was more like a cookie but softer. My sister made it years ago and her recipe was delicious. It was almost like a buttery custard. Clearly she used a different recipe. Mi used the TOLLHOUSE recipe.

Most of the negative comments on Nestle site about this pie were about it being soupy and greasy, even after cooking it longer. Did it firm up after it cooled down? I think 1 stick of butter would have been a gracious plenty--I thought the filling was for 2 pies, not just one! Nestle did say to make sure not to melt the butter, just barely soften it and don't do it in the microwave.

Ok. My big oven is broken so anything I bake has to be done in a stovetop oven (camp oven) which limits me to 9 x 9. I can do this, and I will. ps my dad called cookies without nuts "girl cookies". Made us laugh like hyenas when we were 10.

But I do love White Chocolate - and I bet this pie made with White Chocolate Chips would be out of the this world! I have a question, but not sure you''ll see this, but if you do, can you tell me if those are protective edging that you have on the front of your oven racks? If they are, do you mind saying where you got them,. I am often burned getting things in or out of my oven, so that would be such a help!!!! Thank you and again, I certainly enjoy your shows!!!
