Your co-angler did excellent with the net, his net techniques looked perfect.
It sure makes a better day when you have someone who is good with a net.

Clear Lake is amazing. Consistently bigger bags then anywhere else. I am not a pro by any means but have had many 20lb bags there. I also caught my PB there many years ago. Learned a lot just from this one video. Have you ever tried fishing in one of our big trout planted impoundments for Big Bass?? Now that is what i would like to see guys with your knowledge fish. Tight Lines and Good Luck from Cali.

Man I drove by those rockpiles in my prefish and they were covered in boats. Could not even get close. I had a good boat number on Day 1 and could of tried for them but I never got a chance to prefish it. I ended up in the other crowd down in Rattlesnake. Good first day but sild on the last two. Thanks for sharing and great video.

    • @AndrewUpshawFishing

I feel that completely! I waited and fished rattlesnake late in the day each day and it paid off pretty well. Mainly when all the other boats had left. That place fishes small!

That spook rig is used by catfish guys on CL. You’re also right I’ve had best bags around big cats, had a great day around a school of large bass 4-8lb and large cats 16-20lb off Buckingham. Caught over 25 bass not one was under 3.75 and 3 cats over 17.

The rig you snagged is used by cat fishermen. The spook like bait does what you said floats the bait up of the bottom.

So much of my life was spent there. From the 60's to 1984. The fishing was so great. In the early 80's the water was so polluted. I'm glad to hear they are clean it up.
If you want to catch big cats. Me and my dad made stink bait. Take clams and clean them. Put the meat in a Mason jar. About 3lbs. No water add about half a jar of garlic juice, and icecream salt fill it up . Let set for at least 2 weeks.. The clams will not rot with the rock salt. It just stinks so bad. Me and my DAD fished with 2 and 3 year old clams. This is the JOKE... IF YOU US THIS ? CATCH ON FOR ME AND MY DAD.

I am curious to know if your Fantasy stuff will cease when you guys qualify for the Elites. Its a good hole whether it's community or not. Good thinkin. Big cats dig big bass.

If we are all fishing the Elites, then it would have to stop because we wouldn’t be allowed to do it. And agreed, community holes are community holes for a reason!
