Sir and Madam, great show as always! Here's a crime safety tip from a retired LAPD Detective- Theft is a crime of opportunity. Best advice to counter theft from a motor vehicle is do not leave valuables in plain sight. HIDE your valuables. TAKE the keys. LOCK your car.

You are so right about having a pool and all it in tales! We have an in ground pool and it is a lot of work living here in NE PA, with opening it and getting it ready in the spring and closing and winterizing it in the fall. Then there’s the upkeep of it with the chemicals and keeping it cleaned. It is great having it there in your yard though, to use whenever you want and not have to travel to get to it.

The afternoon and evening rains / rainstorms in Florida are more spectacular than any fireworks or light shows produced by humans. A good afternoon soaker will cool the air, and make for a beautiful outdoor evening. When I lived in the Tampa-St Petersburg area, the drama of watching the storms move across the bay or the gulf was simply unsurpassed.

Nice show. We had a large pool for 20 years in AZ. It had aerators that you activated to spray water like an evaporative cooling experience, mostly run @ night. If you were in @ that time you would be rained on. I don’t know if Florida does same? It was beautiful to have own pool, but truthfully our 2 Boston Terriers sat on top step more than we used it, as working. We moved to 55+ community 23 years ago to use their pools/ amenities. Much less work. Jeanne

The Recreation Dept. offers free lessons and provides all beginner equipment while the lessons are under-way, and at some open shooting periods weekly as scheduled. I figure our pool pump costs about $50 per month. It runs about 8 or 9 hours a day. We also have solar panels which utilize the pool pump to push water to the roof panels. We use our pool daily to swim laps and exercise. We get between 10 and 11 months a year use. We have a pool service that costs $85 per month currently ( that cost has increased recently like everything else). That includes all chemicals required. You'll also have equipment issues to deal with. But as I say you can't take it with you. It's keeping us reasonably healthy and has been wonderful to have with covid.

My street used to look like that tunnels of trees with beautiful Magnolias, then the city chopped them down for causing cracks and uplifting the sidewalk. In SoCal. rats in palms are a problem, but only with date or fruit bearing palms and those not trimmed (apparently rats like to nest there. We had pool built and one of the things that er were warned about is that apparently rats and other rodents enjoy drinking pool water if you live in area where there is not much water to be found. They did enjoy our pool from time to time and some apparently were not good swimmers. I imagine with all the ponds around TV they would prefer to drink near the ponds

No noticeable additional cost on our utilities when we added a pool. Maybe we used less gas, electricity, and water because we were outside much more? The easiest to keep up, after having several pools, is a swimspa. Just need to add an inch of water every couple weeks, and electricity heats it. The money drain of an in ground pool is buying new heaters, new covers, and needing to redo the concrete sides every few years. A swimspa is easy to clean and replacing parts is cheaper. I love having a compact pool that is easy to clean and keep up!

I think you missed an opportunity. You could have said that rats aren't a problem because the snakes take care of them. 😁

There is one pool, up north, that has a chiller. It was purchased by - and is exclusively used by - a swim team /group. It is not for Villager use unless you happen to swim immediately after the team finishes up. Also, I'm a little surprised by your powers of observation. Decades of living and you've never noticed bait stations before? They are everywhere, and I'm certain they were all around the schools where you worked. Great info regarding disability access to CPO's - Cart Path Only holes. Love the videos, thanks for all you do! P.S. - I believe the term is champing at the bit, not chomping. FWIW.

Nope... no baitboxes in our neck of the woods! Very few rats too. A very rural area.

Puto is correct: The original phrase is, indeed, champing at the bit, but chomping at the bit emerged in America in the 1930s according to the Oxford English Dictionary and chomp has overtaken champ in common use

I have been on that ship! Royal Caribbean is THE BEST. I had tried the other big cruise line 3x, (1x I didn't have a choice) I will never use them again. Well worth the extra money. I am so glad you had a nice time. Pets for Gizmo🐶

Jealous of your cruise. I had committed to helping a Methodist church north of 466 as a camp counselor. Cruises, we love them yet they tend to wear us out as we are so busy enjoying every bit of entertainment. These 3-12year old campers are wearing me out too. Now, why didn’t the church have this camp on a cruise ship? I mean these kids would love the buffet, and kiddie cocktails. And there is a biblical connection, King Solomon enjoyed chilled drinks during harvest season. Next year!

Do you think you can address sinkholes in the area? I'm interested in moving to The Villages someday, but those things frighten me

We have lived here almost 4 years and have not seen any yet. There were a couple over 3 years ago up in the Spanish Springs area that damaged a few houses. We went to see them. We didn't actually see a sinkhole but we saw cracks in a couple of homes. Sinkholes can happen anywhere. We had multiple sinkholes on our farm back in Indiana. Big ones.

Don't they also use the theater for live shows too? Like comedians, magicians, etc

I think if you are asking how much the nickel/diming of pool supplies, heating, pumps, you are probably not going to enjoy your own pool, because you will be thinking of that constantly. If a pool and a birdcage run about $100k, that means adding about $500 per month minimum to the mortgage. Would you pay $500 a month to go somewhere to have your own private pool?? Doubtful. I don't think they are worth it. Ps hard to hear Linda again. I think something is wrong with her mic.
Glad it was such a good time on the cruise, looks like a lot of fun. Did you see Shelley Winters? Hehe

When our kids were young our in ground pool got plenty of use. Once they no longer lived at home the pool was more troubled than it was worth. I'm glad now to be in the villages and not own a pool.

The equipment here is 2nd to none. The only issue is you must clean as you go. You can't work on several different machines and then go back and clean. You must tidy up each machine as you use it and then move to the next one.

I don't remember signing one, but I would. Woodworking can be dangerous.
