Wish I could get my hands on those right now. 😂 Side note, hover rigs and tush rigs are now being sold in my local tackle shops up here in Canada. As you might have guessed, they sold out fast. Lmao..
Matt I LOVE these on-the-water bait tests! You get me sitting on the edge of my seat when you hook up with those 5 ib. smallies on the Nessie and the Dime 6. I am sure Berkley is very happy to have doing these videos featuring their baits. Keep up the great work!!
I'm sooooo looking forward to getting some of those. I'm on Berkley's email list to be notified when they are available. That was a killer big ole smallmouth Matt!! Glad you finally landed one with the Nessie. I've never caught one of those. We don't have them around here in Louisiana.
I know one notable big bait guy who puts an extra treble on the line tie as a stinger. He says the nature of the bait they often go for a head shot and will miss the trebles farther back but one on the front will stick them
Got one tied on for tomorrow, along with a jig and a couple cranks. A spinner bait and bladed jig in back up. Probably get out there and have to rethink it all. 🤔
Nice fish. Quick observation. When a bass hits a glide bait way out, don’t real the bait back in to cast again. The bass is already fired up, let the bait sit still, then twitch twitch… twitch twitch and many times, the bass will turn back on the bait and attack. 🎣👍🏻
Thanks for this video, Matt, super nice smallie! Just what I needed to see after ordering a few 7's, supposed to come in tomorrow, looking forward to practicing with them a bit before it gets warmer.
Beautiful smallie! Have some 5" versions of the Nessie on my TW wish list. Looks like another month or so wait. Just wondering about your opinion on whether the bait will be more effective with or without the hook fixed in the retainer clip? Also, if leaving it out encumbers the bait's action?
These on water videos I really like, so glad you were able to get a biggun, that SM being so big it had a pretty good size mouth & was able to get hooked up, you definitely need more practice with it, I seen this past year on the BPT more anglers using one, it does attract big fish!👍🎣
Man I'm still waiting to get my hands on a couple of those. I never fished a Glide bait before but when I seen the videos of them I've been wanting to try them ever since. The Nessie that is not other glyphosate
Your video reminded me of a fish my buddy caught earlier this week. We both fought it for about 15 minutes each. It was a 5 ft long Alligator Gar and we estimated that it weighed between 100 to 120 pounds and was caught on a 100 series green/ chartreuse Bandit crankbaits with 12 Seaguer basic florocarbon line . It was hooked in the eye socket which made him a free swimmer. See
You ever drop the boys off to their friends and the other dads/ parents see the truck and boat and are like “o you fish for a living?” With a blank stare bc they really don’t understand what it’s all about lol
When it comes to which company i respect more, between Megabass and Berkley today, i definitely respect Megabass more. Why? Because Megabass is owned by a genuine diehard bass angler. Today, Pure Fishing and Berkley are owned by Carl Icahn. I don't think he even knows what a Bass is. He probably thinks he owns a guitar company 🎸😂
I was upset over the flag knock off but these are cheaper and easier to get. Don't seem to need tuned as much. My flags are full of nail weights. But mainly on the right side?. Every time i see your hat i want some sweet baby rays jerky.
If you’ll rewatch your own video, may take a couple of times, you’ll find out why you didn’t get the others to commit 🤔 Don’t worry you’ll get it. Just watch your surprised catch.
@@MattStefanFishing the first hook up happened as a reaction when you made it run. They were following the whole time. It's why musky and pike anglers swirl their baits in the water next to the boat when they have followers. Just saying, but I'm sure you already knew that. Tight Lines Champ!
@secretbassrigs oh no doubt. Give it a couple of years and every company will be making both of them. Unfortunately that's just the way it goes in the fishing industry
Ah yes, the rip off bait. Blatantly stolen from #growdesignworks. Shame on Berkley for being unimaginative and just outright stealing other people's designs.
It's nice to be able to get them at a tackle store. Tired of paying silly prices for over priced under stocked baits on ebay or some other Internet site store

they are fun to use!
Nice one. Thanks for sharing. I believe those big smallies like to follow and study the bait. Those rascals. 😂 I agree, nice bait.

i like having it in the mounting system as it makes it more streamlined

Solid video. What was your rod/reel/line for the setup? What would your follow up bait be in a tournament?
hover rig for follow up and i was throwing a 7'4" MH fast action with 15lb fluoro
MHX---blank for sure!!!!!!
Waty to go Matt, that was a super nice smallie, I love that glide bait bite, no wondering if they got it, all or nothing with this bait.
Thanks 👍

organophosphorus compounds are not all made the same.
At least the Cull Shad is available again.
Got mine ordered. Just waiting on them to come in.
awesome!

will do!
I am excited to try that bait for sure! So cool.
Go for it!
Don't know who had more fun
Hank or you ? 😂
It's the same for me. Be it wake, glide or swim. Heartbreak or heart attack.
yep
🍺Nice fish. Nice video. Nice day. Now time for me to get a nice drink.🤠
i second that!
🍻
Does Mend-It come by the gallon?
I'd like to see you do some saltwater fishin'. And I'd like happy to take you if you want to try the Chesapeake.
me too but i live in WI
@@MattStefanFishing do you have tournaments on the East Coast?
Thanks Matt , I have not got my hands on one yet
they are sweet
They're not available yet. Berkley is still trying to fix their Cull Shad debut FAIL!
50% off
@@MattStefanFishinggeez Matt. I thought referring people to Pure/Berkley was supposed to help.

They know... They just won't admit it.
very few people understand what it means to be a professional bass fisherman
Would you fish this in submerged vegetation in florida
Yep

i wonder if he fishes?
What type of area are you fishing? A flat? Just would like to know what your approach was, structure or contour wise, thanks
flat with scatterred rock on it
Good video Matt 🤛
Thanks 👍
How would you compare the Nessie to the Cull Shad Matt?
i havent used the Cull shad yet.
I'm sure Hank had a blast.
he did!
thanks cool video
Glad you liked it!

noise?

it will happen!

i did get them to commit just didnt get them to hook up
Like that bait don't have one at the moment maybe soon 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 that was a toad
yep!
👍👍👍👍👍
thanks for watching
Dang, Big un
yep!
unfortunately I've never had much luck with glide baits
they are fun to play with!
Try a smaller version. They're not much different than flukes.
You're fishing it too slow for pike.
seemed to do just fine

Gambler's Hover Hook is $1.50 less.
I will still buy core tackles every time
