.40 Caliber Cartridge
This video demonstrates the effectiveness of the .40 caliber cartridge when used with the modified 9mm semi-automatic pistol. Using targets such as boat hulls, mailboxes, car doors, and car windows, this training tape focuses on the firepower. Producer: Andre Jesequel
I remember 20 years ago in 1992,there were alot of firearm magazines that did article reviews on the then new .40 S&W.
my guy 1992 was 30 years ago
@@bookkeeper1995 "My guy" you're responding to an 11 year old comment. Math isn't your thing huh "my guy"?
@@RElover22 mind your own business communist
Delta seals used the 40 in Vietnam. It was top secret because of it's devastating effect on enemy tanks.
No they didn't.
Passive aggressive
@@romeogolf4 Yeah they did, and I believe they used the Glock 22.
@@RElover22 which wasn't developed until 1991....
@@romeogolf4 didn't you read the original comment? "It was top secret"
I already posted, but FLETC was a great time. Made many good friends. PT and DT was great. I was down to 8% body fat, and living great. Had a great time over in the abandoned housing doing practicals! And St. Simons Island, oh man, what a great place. Anyway, cheers to all that graduated from FLETC
Oh my God! those were the days at FLETC. I went there in July of 1994 for basic Criminal Investigators Training Program. I loved that place!. I was in the one man rooms with a shared head, right across from the gay bar. Whoeeeee!!! There were lots of girls there, mainly OIG and stuff like Forest Service, GSA, a few from NASA. I was fresh out of the service and in great shape and attitude. Back then we trained with S&W 2.5" Model 686 revolvers with 110 grain +p, and 148 grain wadcutter
.40 is an amazing round my favorite
Why am I still watching this?
180gr. federal round is really soft shooting especially in Beretta 96
Right!! You'd be surprised at what little nothing agencies not only have sidearms but also full automatic sub-guns and carbines.
I own many pistols in all the major calibers and if you were to be in a gunfight and the guy had no cover (car door etc) I would rather .45ACP but when you want more penetration with good power .40S&W is very good.
Very mighty.
Is it true that the secret service is now using the 40 S&W cal.
Wow, nice music.
This guy loves closing that one eye to line up his shots even from 10 feet.
Thanks, good video.
This is why I choose the 40 caliber because it closes the argument and gap between the 9mm and 45 calibers. Heres I choose the 40 caliber. 1.9mm bounces of windows and walls, jams up very often and doesnt have enough knockdown or stopping power. 2. 45 caliber is too heavy, has a very hard recoil, too heavy and has a slower velocity of 850-990 fps. Now you have the answer of why the 40 caliber is the choice and ends the argument.
"closes the argument and gap between the 9mm and 45 " NO IT DOESNT ! THE .40 IS A LIGHT .357 MAGNUM IN AN AUTO. IT HAS MORE POWER THEN THE .45 ACP !
This "test" seems to be more about having fun than showing the difference between the bullets.
So longstory short get the 180 grain .40 cal if you want to make sure you can shoot through a boat hull, a mailbox or a car door!
OR 357SIG
I thought .40 was developed in response to Feds not being able to handle 10mm Auto...
False.
@@brandensoutdoorb-channel8084 no true
The female offices couldn't.
The military still uses the 9MM when I served it was the
40 cal best stopping power
I agree, it's my favorite semi auto caliber.
10 mm has way more stopping power
people may hide behind one or something similar.
did he died?
Double Action Only Beretta I guess.
Why does a fisheries officer need a gun?
I’m case he doesn’t have a fishing pole he can shoot him some dinner 😊
@@rapman5791 10 years too late m8
@psiclonus except its not.
These are seriously watered-down loads, even for pigs.
Its called a .40 slow and worthless for a reason.
CodyAZ1991
Yeah, thats why FBI is switching back to 9mm.
p.s. .40 shitty and weak is so cheap the same reason corn is cheap; government subsidization. Its welfare queen ammo.
Handguns dont have true "stopping power" just something to quick get you to some type of long gun which does possess stopping power
J Kane Yeah, 155 should be pushing 1300fps easy.
@@bulbinking
I know you're a troll, but on average .40s&w flies at 1,050 fps & 410 ft/lbs, that IMO is fast & powerful.
45 ACP.
u mean 45cal not 45mm
i am now more deadly
1911 .45 is just fine.
like 327 s&w, 357 sig, 40 the answer to a problem that never existed. if a cop can't handle a 357 mag or 45 acp they shouldn't be a cop. learn how to gunfight. just because the FBI says it is the best.....
Cops are only allowed that style mustache. If they want to have facial hair that is their only option for some reason.
that is NOT the engine block, ha ha ha. hilarious.
the 9mm can do just the same
I shot a jack rabbit with a 9mm, 4 hit with it and still I had to finish it off with a stick. 9 mini meter 🤮
@BassmasterBling quiet down fanboy, .40 ftw
Ruin ALL THE THINGS!
