Let me tell you a story about the parking sensors, Astra K ones to be exact. We had more than a few of them in our rent a car fleet, so often we would have to move them from one parking spot to another. And yeah, you never put the seat belt on for moving the car 20 meters in a parking lot, but then seat belt alarm would go off, and in their infinite wisdom Opel/Vauxhall engineers decided that once seatbelt alarm started to beep, parking sensors didn't need to beep anymore... Well do I need to go on?

I think the only sensor you should have for reversing is a reversing camera, but with a fisheye lens which not only allows you to see a much wider view (ie. So you can see further to each side) but makes it harder to solely rely on it which forces you to use your mirrors and actually check properly. I'm glad my car comes with the noise sensors activated by a button, I never use them cause I find them useless. Guaranteed James was ignoring the sensors because of the amount of times they'll go crazy when there's absolutely nothing there

Same happened to me. Last customer of the day came to front desk asking "who's red Mazda is this?" I told him it's mine. So he just replied "I just damaged it". Went outside to check, and he reversed his Tesla model 3 into my front bumper. My car was the only one on this side of car park. There was enough space for few trucks there.
