I think what's helpful in these conversations is remembering that being pro-choice isn't pro-abortion, it's pro-choice, as in if someone absolutely is forced into that decision, they have that option. Not recommending it as the #1 solution, but making sure that people have the option when absolutely necessary, which is necessary until there are WAY more people like them who are willing to be apart of the solution
No offense, but if you’re pro choice, you open abortion as an option, therefore making you pro abortion even when circumstantial. Unless your life is being legitimately threatened (such as an ectopic pregnancy), to kill an unborn child (which until the 1960s was considered a living being from the moment of fertilization) should be ostracized. Of course, this sentiment won’t matter if it turns out that those children born are not valued by their parents to the extent that they consider abortion as a viable option simply for convenience. I’ve seen the trauma on video by toddlers who had no stable home and were transferred to foster care too often. And there needs to be better care for the women forced into that position. No wonder this issue is so nuanced.
@@CrowandRaven being pro-choice means you support and advocate for a woman’s right to choose for herself… regardless of what that choice is. Being “pro-abortion” sounds like people picketing outside of maternity wards demanding that the pregnant women abort their babies. It’s not a thing that exists. It’s all about choice.
Liked that you talked about issues that are considered “political” but really shouldn’t be. But left actual politics out of it. Pro life pro vaccine. That’s gotta have people’s heads spinning. I love it.
I'm one of those weird people that considers abortion to be the killing of a growing human being, while also being pro-legal abortion. I think society doesn't need tens of thousands of unready moms poorly raising tens of thousands of unplanned babies every year. It's a burden on society. So yeah, there's practically no one I can have a civil discussion with. 😂
As a foster kid myself (well, not anymore since I’m 21. But my foster parents are still my parents) it makes me SO SO happy to hear that you 2 want to adopt! Foster care is not easy, but I think it still is beautiful! I am so grateful for my foster parents! Thanks to them, I can have A bright future! You are 2 beautiful people❤️ I really admire you!
I'm pro-life as well and I had the most refreshing conversation with someone who was pro-choice recently. It was honestly so beautiful because it wasn't an argument which is so rare now a-days. Like you said, we didn't change each other's opinions, but I think we both gained a new perspective. Thanks so much for being so open and emphasizing having these conversations peacefully.
Just let people make their own decisions. You can be pro life for yourself, not a problem. But why should YOU decide what OTHER people can and can’t do with their lives. That’s the only thing I can’t understand as to what gives you the right to dictate other people’s lives.
@@gus4198 I agree. I say, if you don’t want an abortion and you believe it’s wrong, it is well within your rights to refuse it and I completely respect the sanctity that you place on that life. BUT when those beliefs start to infringe on my rights to reproductive healthcare, that’s when I have a huge problem with it. PLUS a lot of people are pro choice but call themselves pro life because it sounds more moral. Abby and Matt don’t sound like these kinds of people, just to clarify. But there are tons of them out there that are like “I’m pro life unless there was rape or invest involved” well guess what, you’re pro choice. Or “I’m pro life but if the mother or baby may die, then abortion is ok” well guess what, you’re pro choice. These pro life and pro choice buzz words are really just designed to imply morality vs. lack of morality. It should be called pro choice and anti choice
@grace I love this! The reality is these subjects evoke very strong emotions and opinions and because of that, it’s very unlikely one side will ever change the other side’s mind. But it’s so valuable to be able to disagree respectfully.
I am so glad to hear that y’all are supporting adoption and foster care. Just wanted to say how much that warmed my heart! I was adopted myself, and all my siblings are adopted as well, and I can easily without a doubt say it was the biggest blessing and the greatest thing that could’ve happened in my life. Even though I personally don't agree with some of your opinions in this video, this was one of the most compassionate and intentional responses I've heard. I really appreciated that you acknowledged the complexities of some of these issues. Very classy and refreshing to hear, thank you!
@Kayla Carpenter I think the reason it seems that way is because those who are not democrat can’t share their views on politics or they will be cancelled, argued with, and destroyed 🤷🏼♀️
Ok last comment. I respect so much that you guys don’t answer the super personal sex questions. Seriously there’s no reason anyone needs to know that. Ppl who compromise there privacy for views, likes etc.. no bueno. Love that you guys draw boundaries 👍🏼
Love you guys! So appreciate how you talked about being Pro-Life and aren’t afraid of the hate. Influencers need to take a stand on this to help the babies and the mama’s.
Ps just to clarify, I don't think Abby and Matt are now obligated to adopt a disabled baby because it might not be their goal/dream and adopting any baby/kid it's a huge help and improvement from the society (just don't get me wrong from my previous comment). I just wanted to highlight that many babies that are not wanted are not the healthy ones but just the kids with problems/disabilities (and that for many people that's the argument for abortion because prenatal medicine improved so much during past few years/decades) people may not decide to have a kid who you have to put tons of money for therapy and milion of hours of work, for which not many people are prepared and able unfortunately 😔
Same here, don't agree but thought their response was very classy, intentional, and compassionate. So refreshing to hear people share their views in a respectful way!
Awe Matt and Abby you and Rodger and Talia should so get together and do some videos!! Y’all could go to Vegas and they could come to Hawaii!! Love both of these youtubers!!
Also love your guys answer about college. You’re absolutely right, it’s not a one size fits all. Especially w/so many young ppl going into lifelong debt to get a degree they’ll never use. There’s so many other more practical options. As long as you have goals, realistic expectations & are willing to do the work. Also, your passion doesn’t necessarily have to be your career.. like your job can just be the thing you get paid for & you find a way to take joy in it but your passion can be totally separate. To many ppl get stuck thinking they have to be one in the same.
Could not agree more! College is a great tool for a lot of people, but it's not "one size fits all" and not the sole determinant of success. There are a TON of billionaires that dropped out of college to start businesses and change the world.
Thank you so much for giving your stance on being pro-life! I am pro-choice, but I also believe that it's important to support children through adoption, improving the foster care system, and providing teens/adults with a comprehensive sex education. I completely respect your views and am glad you also support "solutions"!
My husband was raised in deep rural Alabama (think super conservative upbringing). I was raised in Massachusetts (think very progressive upbringing). We have vastly different backgrounds but through hard work and a lot of communication, we learned from each other. My views belong to me, his to him, we understand our views come from vastly different world views. He opened my eyes but I opened his as well. Neither of us will fully change but we respect and appreciate each other. It took a lot of hard work and continues to be hard but were closing in on 5 years married!
Whole new level of respect for Matt & Abby, especially in challenging us to talk with someone who may have different views than us. This is what we need in 2021

I agree. Abby and Matt generally seem like such empathetic people, and I wish that their empathy extended to allowing everyone to have a choice. They, who are in a loving relationship, of course view children as a blessing, but not everyone is fortunate enough to have a pregnancy in their context
@@im.brooklynnmany people who have the same opinion Matt and Abby have intentionally vote in a way to prevent everyone else from having a choice and advocate for limitations on this choice

I totally like the idea of the funds for their future children isn’t just a college fund it’s a fund for anything their child wants to chose and I never thought of that!
Included in many of the controversial topics you guys discussed here, I love that you mentioned setting up a fund for your future children. As you guys said, college is one avenue to success, but it’s not the only one. That’s coming from someone who has two degrees lol. I think it’s extra important to not constrict certain adulting processes for our youth, including in funding. If we can be more open-minded and allow our youth with as many resources to succeed in whatever ways they want, the sky’s the limit💪

Abby , i agree on the wedding comment you and Matt made. My husband and i got married and are wedding was not big maybe 70 people and we have been together 35 years and married almost 34 years.
LOVE your stance on abortion! While I am personally pro-choice, I completely respect your stance and the fact that you guys want to be part of the solution. You don’t hear it often, and it’s such a unique and beautiful thing ❤️
In the spirit of having a civil conversation, I totally appreciate your point, but wanted to say that sadly the issues you talked about are political. It can't not be political when topics like universal access to healthcare, contraception and sexual health services are involved. The very fact that there are laws permitting/banning abortion make this political. When answering the vaccine question, you said that everyone should make decisions about their own body, which is exactly what the pro-choice movement stands for - it's not promoting abortion, just the ability to have access for those that need it. It's not just young women affected, it's women of all ages and backgrounds, and a lot of us have been extremely fortunate in life to not have any first-hand experience of this. Likewise, not everybody is in a position to carry a pregnancy to term and choose adoption for their child, both for medical and psychological reasons; sadly, adoption cannot be the only answer. Just something to talk about, really enjoyed the video :)
Matt and Abby you guys are cute and sweet in your low 20s. Your viewership could decline as you begin to look older and your attitudes are potentially impacted by your life experiences. This is why people say you need college or any backup plan because what you have now will almost certainly not last your whole lives.

Through this video i learned that you guys have different opinions/beliefs than i have. I lean more towards pro choice and will not be getting the vaccine. However, i have always urged people to start conversations, listen and learn from eachother. I appreciate you guys bringing that up also. Life would be ultimately boring if everyone thought and acted in the same way 💗 Love you guys.

I'm personally pro-choice but I really appreciate your comment on wanting to be a part of the solution. Being vaccinated, supporting immigrants and people of color, LGBTQ+ people, etc. is so important and your compassion makes you ACTUALLY pro-life, not just anti-choice. Despite our different opinions on the subject your overall outlook on life maintains my respect for you.
Whether or not you need to go to college depends on what you are passionate about and want to do with your life. I dropped out of college, joined the Navy, had some medical issues that led to my separation after I was discharged, and went to trade school for my CDL. A 4 week school that can either be paid by a company if you commit to them or like 5 to 6k. Nowhere near as much debt as a 4 year degree, and you can make high 5 figure salary or even 6 figures. You can more than support a family with 4 weeks of education or less. Everyone has their own path to success. YASS Moissanite! I did that for my fianceé too.
Listening to you guys explain your explanation on pro life just shows what truly beautiful people you guys are so glad I’ve come across your channel! Binge watching to get caught up 😅
Politics is everywhere, im a poli sci major tho so thats why i believe that frame. I think a politics you could and have focused on-is showing more about ur volunteer work or the places you have donated too. I really admire your guys' hearts. Politics has gotten branded as a bad thing (blue vs. red), but really its how society functions, written and unwritten social norms, and honestly we need more compassion in it. So without even using the word "politics" you guys have been using your platform to show "hey we are donating all the money we get from our merch to x, y, and z." so whatever you want to share ever might be political to some and not to others. But you are helping individuals and society-so thank you!
to add to the wedding talk: i’ve talked a lot about this with my family but when i get married, i’d rather get married at the court house and then for our ten year anniversary have a vowel renewal ceremony. it give you time to save up and i honestly think that would be very special

Yes but that's not how it works they can do it for any reason no restrictions
@@CrowandRaven being pro-choice means you support and advocate for a woman’s right to choose for herself… regardless of what that choice is. Being “pro-abortion” sounds like people picketing outside of maternity wards demanding that the pregnant women abort their babies. It’s not a thing that exists. It’s all about choice.
Liked that you talked about issues that are considered “political” but really shouldn’t be. But left actual politics out of it. Pro life pro vaccine. That’s gotta have people’s heads spinning. I love it.
I know a lot of people are
It shouldn't though because it's actually consistent unlike the alternative positions.
It's so sad that people think those are oxymoronic positions, though
This ❤️🙌🏼
Just let people make their own decisions.
Same pro life
I am so glad to hear that y’all are supporting adoption and foster care. Just wanted to say how much that warmed my heart! I was adopted myself, and all my siblings are adopted as well, and I can easily without a doubt say it was the biggest blessing and the greatest thing that could’ve happened in my life. It’s people like y’all who are able to change the lives of future generations. Thank you!
Even though I personally don't agree with some of your opinions in this video, this was one of the most compassionate and intentional responses I've heard. I really appreciated that you acknowledged the complexities of some of these issues. Very classy and refreshing to hear, thank you!
It’s rare seeing people being open about being pro-life 🙌🏾
yeah i was kinda shocked they answered but i 100% agree with them
❤️❤️❤️
@Kayla Carpenter how do you know they're not democrats?
@Kayla Carpenter same! well i knew some were pro life but they don't publicize it. but thanks Matt and Abby for saying what you think/ believe.
I don’t agree with your pro-life stance, however I appreciate you acknowledging that you want to be apart of the solution!
I 100% agree with this comment! They don't seem like the typical pro life people
@@VeggiesbyEos also much more forward thinking
Same here, don't agree but thought their response was very classy, intentional, and compassionate. So refreshing to hear people share their views in a respectful way!
@@VeggiesbyEos except they are typical pro life people. You assume so much about our community when we just want to help without babies dying
Love you guys!!♥️♥️♥️
Literally my favourite YTers commented on my other favourite YTer! Ridiculously elegant!
Hey theae two people my favorite
And her smile sound 😂😂😂 jzt kdng not shaming you
Love you too!
There are a TON of billionaires that dropped out of college to start businesses and change the world.
i just recently found this channel and i am so addicted now lol
Me too 😂🤣
Welcome to the fam!!
Welcome dude
Sameeee 😂😂
So pumped you’re here!
Thank you so much for giving your stance on being pro-life! I am pro-choice, but I also believe that it's important to support children through adoption, improving the foster care system, and providing teens/adults with a comprehensive sex education. I completely respect your views and am glad you also support "solutions"!
My respect has literally gone through the roof for yall. Keep being you and God bless!
You guys are so positive and well adjusted, it’s awesome you found eachother.
Whole new level of respect for Matt & Abby, especially in challenging us to talk with someone who may have different views than us. This is what we need in 2021
Who else found this channel and can't stop watching it??
Love you dude!!
Abby 2:51: "100%" pro-life
Abby 5:19: "Everyone make the decision that you think is best for your body"
Though I disagree with some of your opinions, I have to thank you for being honest. So many people avoid the hard questions, so thank you for answering them. Also, loooove your speech about how we need to start having civil conversations. 🙌🙌🙌🙌
“If we’re taking this position we have to be part of the solution.” SO MUCH YES.
I cannot believe how many people are pro life. I really love you guys and agree we don't all have to have the same views but everybody should have a choice, sadly I wish more people saw why this was humane
I agree. Abby and Matt generally seem like such empathetic people, and I wish that their empathy extended to allowing everyone to have a choice. They, who are in a loving relationship, of course view children as a blessing, but not everyone is fortunate enough to have a pregnancy in their context
Wait could one of y’all explain, how they aren’t giving everyone a choice??? How is that possible they can’t make you not have a choice.
@@im.brooklynnmany people who have the same opinion Matt and Abby have intentionally vote in a way to prevent everyone else from having a choice and advocate for limitations on this choice
I’m pro choice & I loved hearing your guys stance on being pro life. so nice & refreshing, you guys are truly so good! we can all agree to disagree & MOVE along ❤️
GOD BLESS YOU GUYS AND EVERYONE ELSE! You guys are amazing! Road to 1 mil!!
❤️❤️❤️
i love how honest y’all are with your viewers!!!
watching this 11 months later when they’ve been living in arizona for a few months and have a baby boy 🥲
Subscribed.
Just for how well you handled much of this "we gotta be able to learn how to disagree with people but still have a civil conversation and be thinking logically"
Matt talking about hitting the like button ACTUALLY reminds me to hit the like button😂
Yessss😂😂😂
WOOHOO 🤣
Haha, me, too! 😂 I’ve gotten more trained now to do it earlier before he even reminds us 😂😂
I totally agree with what they said about the Midwest. People here are usually very friendly, love small talk, and love just hanging out. I think Midwesterners get the reputation of being these old, grumpy, and unaccepting people, but that’s really not the case.
I love y'all even more!!! My husband and I are becoming foster parents and we are almost done with the certification process. We don't have any kids other than our God daughter who we have 6 days a week. She was a friends baby and she was young and just needs alot of help and support. I love that y'all want to adopt. I've wanted to since I was a little girl and I can't wait for our first placement.
Matt and Abby! Foster mom here, THANK YOU THANK YOU for being honest about being pro life. Babies deserve your honesty and your action of being future adoptive parents. You being honest, is making a difference and it brought tears to my hears to hear Abby say "100%."
Thank you ❤
Just want to say-I love how you guys think, because you guys are people that are open minded and aware of all the different possibilities in life. I also loved what you said about subjects and politics you guys are so amazing and smart for a young couple. Love your videos!😊❤️
P.S. I’m only 15 but I hope that I find a partner later on, that is as open minded as you guys😂❤️
Abby’s answer on pro-life- AMEN!! Loved everything she said. Thanks so much for y’all’s honesty and the way you speak with love!
Matt and Abby, Thank you for talking about being pro life! I am very pro-life myself and it is so refreshing to see this on social media!! God bless you both.
agreed!
Agreed! Well said🤗
Love Abby saying to have a conversation with someone not with the goal to change their mind but to simply gain more perspective. You never know how your words will affect someone down the road or how someone's words will impact you. Love you Matt and Abby!
can you guys make a tiktok of future rules for your kids? dating, bedtime, etc
Love this idea!
Aww I have a moissanite as well! They are stunning and cost effective if you are wanting a big gem but don’t want to go into debt for it! Your ring is beautiful!
Proud of you two for opening up! So brave to do these days, and I respect and love everything you said. Most inspiring people ever. ❤️
What a wise woman to be honest. There, I said it! And no, I don't mean most ladies or people for that matter aren't, but man does her mind stand out! God bless!
Am I the only one who thought of the movie inside out when Abby said “that’s where we made our core memories” when they were talking about Missouri?😂😂🤦♀️
Matt and Abby for president plzzz!!! They r so thoughtful and actually care about others
Beautifully said! I agree 100%!!
the Q and A’s with Matt and Abby are so wholesome and mature. Honestly, some of the best videos on youtube.❤️❤️
This is why i fucking love these guys, wholesome and are genuinely nice people. Their response to the political stuff was great to see.
Matt and Abby you guys are cute and sweet in your low 20s. Your viewership could decline as you begin to look older and your attitudes are potentially impacted by your life experiences. This is why people say you need college or any backup plan because what you have now will almost certainly not last your whole lives.
New Zealand is AMAZING. You guys should totally move there.
Im 13 and I was going through a really tough time and lokey this channel and this couple really helped me find the positive in everything and I’m so grateful that you guys continue to make fun and positive videos!
That means so much! WE LOVE YOU DUDE!
Through this video i learned that you guys have different opinions/beliefs than i have. I lean more towards pro choice and will not be getting the vaccine. However, i have always urged people to start conversations, listen and learn from eachother. I appreciate you guys bringing that up also.
Life would be ultimately boring if everyone thought and acted in the same way 💗
Love you guys.
Can we just appreciate that they manage to squeeze the screaming goat into every video lately? 😂😂 Seriously love this video though and how maturely you guys handled all the topics!
love seeing influencers talk about being pro-life 💖 you two have amazing hearts
Same 💞
Subscribed! Love how open and real you two are!
One of the cutest couples on TH-cam 🥰🥰
We just moved to Missouri and already love it and how friendly people are!
Love that y’all have a passion for adoption! One of my younger sisters is adopted and she has been a blessing to the rest of my family. Also loved hearing that y’all are pro-life! God is using you two for great things❤️
Lol sometimes I wish I could be Abby’s friend. She seems so energized she seems so nice and cool:( I need her type of socialness
Thank you so much for expressing your view on being pro-life. You said it beautifully! You're doing an amazing thing by being willing to adopt and I wish you all the best in your journey!!
YESSSS PLEASEEEEE COME TO NEW ZEALAND
PLEASE

I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH, your uploads makes me so so happy
I LOVE how you answered “controversial” topics!
Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your beliefs! I wish there were more people in the world like you two!
I’m so in love with your intro. Also you should do dming our subscriber’s crushes because I think it would be fun.
So glad to hear you state and stand behind your pro-life stance! 💕
Wow I applaud you guys for being so well spoken at such a young age!! So respectful and aware of the impact of your words 👏🏼
Not me sitting at work watching this just wishing I had some of that food!!! The chicken sandwich and the flurry!! Oh my 😩🤩
I love how you guys said that you wish people can and need to have different opinions and still talk so true
Aww. My future plan is to adopt kids too. In india adoption is not so popular. So, I feel like my extended family will probably hate me for this.
Binge watching to get caught up 😅
Whoa you guys are from Missouri? Me too! So cool to see people from my home state doing well 🙌
Y’all are so awesome. Wish I could find someone with the same values as me and genuine funny and chill but those people are hard to find sadly.
"It shines more than a diamond" whatever makes you feel better at night
I respected y’all before but now… wow. Multiply that by 10 💕 love you guys!
I’m adopted and my respect for people who take a stance on pro life and adoption instantly goes way up. thanks for being open!
to add to the wedding talk: i’ve talked a lot about this with my family but when i get married, i’d rather get married at the court house and then for our ten year anniversary have a vowel renewal ceremony. it give you time to save up and i honestly think that would be very special
love that you had the courage to talk about what it means to be pro-life, and how it is more than just babies, and how we need to be apart of the solution as well as having that view point. Love y’all!!
New TH-camrs here.. and you two inspire us!!!🤪🥰
