    Probably the best snow event of the winter so far on the Blue mountains and as far west to Orange. Thanks for you're dedication Phil.

    I've never touched snow. I LOVE the cold. I want to make a snowman, a snow angel, and have a snowball fight with my friends and family :)). One day, I wish and hope.

    Hey Phil, you are almost at 2000 vlogs and I just wanted to say congrats for making it this far throughout your youtube career! I’ve been a subscriber since you uploaded the all about g sets video which was awesome! Thanks for making my favourite content on TH-cam!

    Good change in scenery. Didn't know it snowed near Sydney. It very rarely snows in Wellington and we have mountains everywhere. Guess we're not cold enough like Canada or the U.S.

    I like the video, such a contrast to the usual vlogs. Those V-sets would be nice and cozy inside. Sitting back with a book, a thermos and a sandwich would have made for a relaxing trip.

      The comment is merely stating that there were bush fires at the beginning of the year & now snow in August. Simples

    Great video! Would of been nice and cold. Although it would never happen, I could imagine a train line going up to the snowy mountains connecting Jindabyne to Canberra or something like that, imagine how much snow would be on there!

    I was in the Blue Mountains yesterday at Mount Victoria. The first time in my life I ever made contact with the snow. It was amazing. Guards and Drivers were nice. Had a little horn show from a V Set and saw 2 freight trains (3 CEY SSRs and 1 NR Pacific National with an 82 Class trailing). I've also seen V40 & V29 so many times now. I find it quite funny.

    I caught the 7:59am V set service out of Penrith yesterday morning through to Mount Victoria, plenty of snow on the ground from before Medlow Bath through Blackheath and almost Mount Victoria. Plenty of snow flurries whilst I waited for the 10:18am service back. Was great to see the snow, but very chilly, wind chill had temps well below zero.

    You certainly had a big day getting around. I still can't find a rail map with Tarana - never heard of it until today (and a few other stops out Bathurst way). Great vid.

    Well done catching the trains in the falling snow there. Back in the 1970's my dad and I took a day train trip to Katoomba during mid winter. we saw sleet while there and it was very cold, though no snow unfortunately.

  • @PaulsTrainVlogs
    @PaulsTrainVlogs 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I drove up as far as Katoomba. It snowed as I was stuck in traffic on the Great Western Highway between Leura and Katoomba for 20 minutes.

    I can't believe I forgot the Southern Hemisphere has its seasons reversed, and I didn't realise Sydney and the surrounding area got snow!

    • @charlieb2903
      @charlieb2903 4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Sydney does not get snow. The Blue Mountains are 100km west.

    • @jonathandball
      @jonathandball 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same! 😆 I was thinking..."Wow! Winter certainly started early there this year! And they've even got some snow falling already!" Then I suddenly remembered I was in the Northern Hemisphere and Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere." 😂 I grew up in the Southern Hemisphere in South Africa and move between North and South from time to time. I guess that can make one forget, momentarily, which side of the globe one is on.

    Tanara is not the Blue Mountains or part of the Sydney rail system.

    • @golamiftekhar9576
      @golamiftekhar9576 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is actully is its on the Sydney trains map and part of the Bathurst bullet as it passes through and the blue mountains line service that goes to Lithgow sometimes and terminates at Lithgow and Bathurst same with the Bathurst bullet except ternimates at central instead of lithgow
