I wouldn't be surprised if the rulebook was done by Kanger himself. One thing about Kanger, is he publishes updated rulebooks at the drop of a hat. Tweet a question & bingo updated rules within minutes.
Nice job! I've been waiting for a peek at this game, I'm really interested. Really good big map, tons of room to roam. Counters and charts look great too. Yes, definitely similarities with Source of the Nile from way back. Next move will depend on your eventual review :)
Yes appears to be somewhat like Source of the Nile. But based on other Legion games I have, this looks really excellent. Have fun exploring just don't get eaten by animal or cannibal...😈
LOVE the Novella, LOVE the author... I've been trying to get-in-step with "7th Continent", so this looks like a great game... would love to see a formal review.
I've never played the Source of the Nile game, really looking forward to your review of this one to sway me one way or the other with the purchase of this game😁
Have it and play it once. Nice game indeed. And I'm found of the conceptor making himself a bad vilain in his own creation (it's really a bad event to had). And I love the concept of madness. You could survive your trip but lose the game by getting nuts. The different sponsors are also a nice idea as it add some interest and diversity in the reasons of your expedition.
It's Legion...they're a tiny publisher. I would've been surprised if this HAD come with a mounted map. To my knowledge, they only games they publish with mounted maps are Target for Today and Target for tonight, and in those cases the maps are small.
Yes, looks like more than I thought it would be.

What happened to your follow-up video after you played it 2-player and 5-player?

It would be cool if there was a Kurtz scenario....
could this work at all as a solitaire game?
Unlikely at a glance, but we'll let you know once played.
Yes, It can be played solo with some very minor modifications (which are stated in the rulebook)
Great Book!
Arrrggghh. Why not a properly mounted map? Lost my sale now. 🤯
Me too. Awesome box cover....and after seeing the map....nope
You realize Kanger designed the best wargame ever (Dien Bien Phu: The Final Gamble). It's on a paper map.

That map…. 🙄
