This is an excellent initiative. Dispute resolution is such an important topic. Back in Punjab dispute resolution was a common affair done by village heads and elders. This style of court allows for more structure and credibility to the process.

This was always allowed. You can arbitrate/settle disputes outside of legal court. Just need agreement from both parties to use it.
