Sheik vs Short Characters | Smash Ultimate

Ever since the Sheik vs Heavies video ( • Sheik vs Heavies ft. D... ) people have been constantly asking me to make a Sheik vs Small Characters video and here it is! The same video format, the same quality and editing type for all of you Sheik enthusiasts! I love this character and I feel a special joy when I edit videos for this character.
Sheik has some terrible matchups with the short characters and in this video I go through why that is and also how to counter these matchups. I also specifically go through the; Pikachu, Pichu, Mr. Game & Watch, Pac Man, Squirtle (Pokemon Trainer) and Olimar Matchup. I hope the video helps and I am very happy with how the video turned out!

I think neutral changes slightly against small characters, your buffered aerials don’t work oos, so you have to be more conscious of when to hold shield longer without giving them grabs. You have to time your aerials a lot later for starting combos, so even though combos are harder it’s not a massive pain after enough experience, but it ends. up hard to get landing fair for example.
Since you need to time later, I think it becomes important to condition to allow for your late timings to land which is an answer I’m still looking for since small characters are often confident.
Needles become useful since little characters don’t like to be stopped, and since B-movement becomes safer (because their hitboxes are less generous, and they have no disjoints, it’s not that safe to just swing at your B-reverse mixup), you have a lot of turnaround/b-reverse mixup potential
