I won't even comment the quality of the channel per se, I just want to say that this is proper English, as oposed to that of hundreds of millions of his compatriots. The usual Indian accent, but CORRECT and perfectly comprehensible English.

Sir,Namaste, Very Nice lesson,Thanks. In Hindustani music "Kanswar"is equivalent to Grace note, Murki is equivalent to"Turns" by some musicians and "khatka" is equivalent to "Turns"like |G|=AGFG or FGAG patterns. And also Mordent= FGF, EFE patterns called "Murki "is said by some musicians others called Khatka. Trills is called" kampitham Gamakam" in Carnatic music.

Jason is just too prolific in putting out tutorials, I can't keep up. I'm still learning all those versions of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" and we're in February, lol. I can actually play it very well but it's taken me so long because I'm not just learning it parrot fashion I've been analyzing the chordal structure and how each chord interacts with and harmonizes the melody; it's fascinating. Indeed Jason, I would like you do a tutorial exclusively on chordal/choral music and give us tips and best practice on deciding what notes in the melody to harmonize; we don't want to be harmonizing every melody note, that would be overkill - even for chordal music; you briefly touched on it in this tutorial when you inverted the Cm chord to have the Eflat as the prominent melody note. Also teach us how to come with a secondary melody line that's melodically and/or rhythmically different to the primary melody line but they complement one another harmoniously when played simultaneously. This is why I've been breaking down the "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" tutorial because that chordal version that you played had several simultaneous voices in some sections which made for wonderful harmonies. Hopefully by next Christmas I will be ready to present my rendition of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" to the world; only another 10 months to go, lol.

Thanks so nice of you to encourage me like this! Perhaps this lesson should help you with chords, inversions, and melody and choosing the harmony. It uses a popular song which I'm sure you know and then a lot of Secondary Dominants are used!
