I don’t know why beginners feel like every piano tutorial should be made for them. If you don’t get it now, you will one day. But in the same way you want to grow from a beginner to intermediate, intermediate players want to move to grow to be experts, and you don’t need to criticize those who help that happen.
Being flooded with beginner content is really boring, too. I just started learning piano this year but I like watching more advanced videos out of my skill range bc they inspire me and are more interesting to listen to
You're really good. The way you teach is easy enough for a beginner to understand, while cool enough to help an established player advance his or her skills. Thank you.
If you want to progress at the piano. Start slowly from the beginning . Take it one step at the time. Avoid brushing of the fundamental so just you to can get your prize quicker climb the ladder with 0:15 the small steps not the one with the small steps you can reach.
Hi There, I am a pianist, I have been practicing and studying jazz harmony for some time and I am looking for a method, a system, a guide perhaps written and with exercises, to understand and apply the improvisation called "outside", there are many tutorials on TH-cam but none of them have been clear and explanatory for me on how to use this technique used by many great musicians in a sublime way, for example by Mickael Breker to quote a saxophonist, or by Joe Zawinul to quote a pianist, some talk about going down a half tone below or a tone above using pentatonic scales, others about using substitution tritones or triads a tone above (11+ /13), going out of key and then back in, I have tried the methods indicated but I am not satisfied with the result also because in the tutorials the example is always only indicated for minor chords and never for the dominant 7, or the Maj 7 or the augmented or semi-diminished, please can you tell me if there is something in your courses that explains this topic clearly? Many thanks and best regards Odino
Great video! I'm near 50 and relearning piano now and want to see more videos like this. Does anyone know how Justin's keyboard shows what keys he pressed in real-time without needing an extra keyboard on the screen?
Thank you for sharing this I am not reading music just going with it I should imagine I can follow What would be lovely is if you could maybe show us the notes. Thank you
I have played the piano for 4 years yet i have never been taught terms, i cant read notes and i hage no idea how to improvise and ive never been taught the scales on the piano or different variations of how to play. I'd say I've been a beginner for 4 years, and i have no idea how to get out of jt, and here i am, trying to learn. He says, "This is for any level" yet i dont understand a single thing. Im hopeless.
There is one of my junior who naturally played piano through TH-cam videos but i cannot even play a single piece even after i took lessons for more than 3 years I guess piano is not for everyone 😢
You just haven't tried hard enough. I used to take lessons for several years and I would like to say I was grade 2 but I was probably still grade 1 and I quit. Several years later I started teaching myself and have gotten a lot better. Stop believing you can't do it and telling yourself it is impossible for you to learn and practice allowing yourself to fail because that's okay, just keep on trying.
I feel like the chapters are spaced/formatted unevenly, chapters 3 and 4 are taking real big leaps but I’d love to learn more about exactly how to make those stylistic choices to get there😅
For some reason lots of videos on Pianote are totally useless. It's like " Hey , I'm just gonna play this piece ! " No explanations , no practice, no practical advice, no slow-mo.
This video is certainly not for a beginner. But I do agree that Pianote has lost its way in terms of what its TH-cam channel purpose is all about. In the early days it was all about teaching. Now it’s all about showboating.
@@jasonbourne488 there are thousands and thousands of Pianote students and not all of us are beginners, especially those who have been there from the get go. Talk less/practice more.

Just a few minutes and too much awesomeness!! Congrats, Bro!! You know how to do and to teach!!!
Glad you liked it!🤩

this was so helpful to me. really broke down the most foundational aspects of improv
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, Justin. I haven't read music in a long time, but I was able to follow along as you played. 🥰👍
I love how you use left hand as metronome. I need that
Autumn Leaves🍁😍
Great video! 👌 got a lot out of this short one!
Glad you liked it!🤩
I'm a little further than a beginner but these tutorials really helps to make practicing more interesting.
Amazing musician!!!
He definitely is! ✨
Love, love, love

Thank you. Loved it. This is not my source of piano instruction; it’s supplemental. 👍🏼
Glad it was helpful!
This is very helpful. Thanks

Those quick chromatic riffs, goals 😯
I like your piano playing, I too am a beginner, but I'm stuck in one place, I don't know how to move forward
Can you teach how to play this is what autumn feels like by JVKE pleas🙏🙏
Reharmonization will make it even more interesting 😊
Difference between improvising and soloing 🙏
Just wondering, as someone who’s also trying get more fluid with tonal theory and chord progressions… is this song in Gmaj?
It is in E Minor/ G Major (1 sharp)
What's the song of the first melody?
It's called "Autumn Leaves"
Kinda Jordan Rudess teaching ~fast arpeggios~
"Les Feuilles mortes" by Joseph Kosma in 1945, nice classic.

What makes you place fingers between keys vs. not? Fingers won't fit.
This is good stuff but I don't think a beginner could follow. This is more advanced beginner to intermediate I feel like. Great stuff though for sure!
Did you get all that, beginners & non-musicians? haha
😂😂
Hi!
Hello!
Didn't get it but cool...
All I hear is Bozza's Aria

So far I'm understanding, I'm a very new learner to music and playing piano. There's also a setting option to
Slow the video so that u can follow on.
There couldn't have been a better explanation. Change your mindset from negativity and you might see something eye opening.

Thanks, this video makes no sense
I love Pianote, but this is not useful to a beginner. There is no context or entry point for a new learner. What's going on here?
Not everything is catered to beginners 😮
This is gold. Use your eyes and ears. You can slow down everything on TH-cam 😂
Look for beginner videos from pianote
