PSR-E is an awesome entry-level series, and the 400s are probably the best value for money on the market

I still see it as a fun keyboard to play with. I enjoyed the video.😀

These entry level keyboards are underrated. I personally have a Yamaha PSR-295 which was the E403's predesessor, the E403 is basically a PSR-295
with a few extra functions including a pitchbend wheel and 2 filter knobs as well as an arpegiator. If your on a very tight budget these sounds are usable
in music production, I used to use my Yamaha PSR-295 as a music production tool before I had a DAW. And the entry level keyboards are honestly better
for music production on the cheap than an arranger such as Tyros 5, Genos or even the PSR-SX models as arrangers are not intended for music production
but this is at least an inexpensive alternative to something like a Roland U-220, JV-1080 or SC-88 Pro. I even used to take my Yamaha PSR-295 to shows
as at least if something like this got lost or damaged it's fairly easy and cheap to replace. Technically any keyboard with styles is an arranger.

Thanks for the great video. I use the psr- e403 primarily to practice piano, sometimes with a synth accompaniment in the lower register. I don't know how you feel about weighted keys, but I greatly appreciate the feather light action of this keyboard/piano, as I have severed tendons and nerve damage in one of my hands. I got this Yamaha back in 2005 in the price range you mentioned, and it's been a great 61 key. I hope to get an 88 key eventually. Best wishes for the new year, and thank you.

Cool, thanks for watching. It's a decent keyboard, but my favorite Yamaha synth is the CS1X.

thank you for your review. I tried a couple different casios and they just didn't work out for me to use live. Had a psr 443 previously which sold and needed another relatively affordable practice board. Based on your review video and also the price used on local web I picked up a psr e403 and ready to practice fun music.

+pirinst No prob, glad you enjoyed. It a simple synth, but for the price point it's not too bad.

William are you using the Kodak Zi8 camera? Did you just put the camera in Video mode to make this video? I have the same camera.

I'm picking one of these up today for the price of a lunch. Hoping the low acoustic guitar notes do not pitch shift downward like the psr e 453 and psr e463 which I also bought last summer. Is that an rm1x sequencer to the right? I've had two of those in the past also.

This old model 403 413 423 433 are all carry 2.5 watt on each.
    The 443 453 463 carry 6.0 watts
    Just mean more louder

I was expecting better sounds... There's too much reverb on some sounds!
The effect section it's cool to use as you said.

Great video. You Sampled the sounds and was honest about the rhythm tracks. Seriously, they sound cheesy and it's music you would never listen to. It drives me crazy when you find a keyboard video and the jackass only plays the rhythm tracks. 1 button, tada!
Thanks again, I want this keyboard

Do you have this keyboard sir?

  • @rodneyjweltham150
    @rodneyjweltham150 2 ปีที่แล้ว

2:11 'ehh, as you can see they're OK I guess' (but sir, you didn't give the 'rhythm section / accompaniment' a chance!)
I have had just about every Yamaha keyboard under the sun going way back to a Yamaha combo organ in the 70s. I have found that when the arranger keyboard started to come out they were two schools of thought: one was what's the point of this? The other is let's see what I can do with this. I play in a church and accompany our worship team sometimes and when there's no drummer I can set up my PSR 3000 with rhythms and fairly closely approximate a drum set set up when running through a decent stereo keyboard amplifier... learn how to use them to. admittedly the PSR 3000, itself an ancient keyboard, has a much more flexible accompaniment section with several intros and three endings so perhaps it's apples and oranges in someways, but as noted I do have an E403 in the church which I purchased for the kids and I have messed around with the rhythm section - and it works better than you'd think...just sayin'

Si, falta intención en la mano derecha. Recordemos que ése Synth es sensitivo y muchos presets suenan diferentes según el toque..
