You know she didn't have the best vocals but when it come to sounding like you mean what you're singing she did 10/10.... 110% accuracy..she sounded like she wasn't even singing. Like she was just talking to the love of her life face to face❤
What makes this song unique is that there are so many key changes yet it retains the same feeling throughout.

I played this song for my kids a few years ago when the full eclipse happened. My son was laughing at my cheesy mom moment. He has since passed away. Was driving though the Tim’s drive through when it came on and here I am bawling like an idiot. It’s so hard without him. The words have a whole new meaning now. 😢

@Meg Griffin And yours might be a bold statement too as I agree, it is a classic song but would it be accepted in todays era of music as I agree, 90% plus of it is in my opinion pretty dire. 80s was phenominal but also was the 70s and the 60s which in my opinion started the ball rolling for classic, brilliant and inovative music taking us out of the 50s bee bop dross.

This song came to me in a dream. I losted my husband in June 21 ,2011, my nephew on June 5, 2011, my Dad on June 5, 2012 and my oldest Son was murdered on Oct 2.2017. This is a reminder of the Total Eclipse of my heart. My eyes had seen so much in this life of mines. But my heart still had that quiet voice. At night I just love to open my curtains and just watch the universe because that is letting me know that God sees me and he won't leave me in my own darkness. This song helped me this morning.
