I also live pretty close to the one at SanTan Village and they don’t sell any men’s clothes there cuz I’m pretty sure the store is too small for it

    • @SLone3251
      @SLone3251 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@Imperial0666 F21 put in less effort with locations that replaced old anchor spaces, so I believe this is true. In college I visited a huge F21 location that took over a Mervyn's or JC Penny and it looked exactly like the one shown in this video. I've also been to one other location in Anaheim, CA that has this same look as in the video. The font for the exterior store sign is even the same (but you'll notice they are different than stand-alone in-mall F21 stores). The font and stylizing is different. These takeover locations aren't as glamorous and F21 probably didn't want to invest much into the appearance of the store (bad move, IMO).

I used to work at a Forever 21 Red (which is just a smaller Forever 21), and it was horrible. Not only did we have to deal with rude and disgusting customers that left trash and actual human waste everywhere but we had to shovel so much crap into the customers’ face. We had to stuff racks to the brim with fragile clothes that absolutely no one wanted and the slightest bit of pressure caused the whole thing tumbling down, we had to try to save damaged jewelry that was tied in knots but ended up putting half broken necklaces on the sales floor, and we were always short staffed and each employee had to do the work of 3. We all worked like we were trying to resuscitate a dying animal, so I’m really not surprised it’s doing so bad.

How many times have you seen the same outfit on several girls or women while out. For those who don’t care for quality and uniqueness Nova serves a purpose but they are thieves and it’s hurting small businesses. Also the fabrics are toxic. If the clothing smells when you take it out of the bags it’s normally toxic and that goes right into your skin. Like I said, they serve a segment that doesn’t care or know. I feel for the employees.

This was back in the early 2000s when Hollywood Blvd had all these decadent nightclubs and had a very lively scene. The clothes rarely lasted a month, and this was even back then. The quality is even worse now, and these days the only vaguely fast fashion thing I like are Uniqlo clothes.

Now that I’m getting older, I realize that this store really is for teenagers. Places like H&M, Target, TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, etc. those stores have better quality clothes. Years ago, when they started moving into HUGE spaces formerly occupied by failing mall anchors, some of them even multi-level stores, I wondered how they could sustain it. The answer, they can't. I ventured past the one in Bakersfield, CA today, in a multi-level space formerly occupied by Harris-Gottschalks, and while the store looked fully stocked they had "50-75% Off" banners in all the windows and on all the racks. It looked like kind of a silent liquidation without actually saying "Liquidation Sale". It wasn't a good look.

I cant believe they took over a mervyns and didnt or hardly changed a thing in the interior. I feel like f21 has the potential to keep being so successful despite it fast fashion company stereotype. Like tons of people has access to f21 in the states, if they spent more on doing collabs with celebrities and influencers and less on corny shit like Pepsi and cheeto collabs they COULD still be the place everyone hits up for clothes. They should take notes from PLT and boohoo, they're also fast fashion and alot of the stuff they produce is questionable in terms of quality and production but they're turning out collabs with celebs, musicians and models and it keeps things exciting and enticing. The “fast fashion stereotype” isn’t just a stereotype. It is true and has been proved again and again. It’s not about f21 “trying harder” there’s no coming back because people are finally opening their eyes to the truth that fast fashion will be downfall of our planet.

Not mad to see this one go. In fact, I’m glad to have another reason for another RA video!

Lol this is the f21 by where I live that I’ve been going to since I was like 13. The concrete is actually something they just did this year. They ripped up the carpet which was as disgusting as you could imagine. And the concrete was just underneath, dont think they did anything to it. I never really thought about how it was like the only f21 I’ve been to that looked so gross, outdated and unkempt. Guess I was just used to it but I’ve definitely seen most other of their stores look a lot better and cleaner. Anyway, great video!

One thing that is not there fault is the customer reckage like some people just ruin stores but that dirty look and unpainted fixtures is all the store management

Where I live, the F21 is clean and has a lot of employees and have a lot of customers so I was kinda surprised that they were suffering from bankruptcy.

Man, the Forever 21 we have here in Omaha is all the way down in the basement of the Westroads and is a complete disaster every time we're in there, clothes piles like all over the floor and everything... a lot like this one lol

Yup because customers of this store think it’s okay to never hang anything back up where they found it and choose to throw it on the floor. Other customers see those clothes on the floor and then think that that is where they go for some fucked up reason. They assume no one cares. But because of that all the employees have to stay until 3 o’clock in the morning to clean it all up because you’re not allowed to leave until it’s perfect.

Ya even at Eaton Centre in Toronto they had this huge ass store in front of the main fountain square where they hang the Christmas tree (a highly acquired floor space) but then once you exit Eaton centre literally across the street they have another huge ass main level store right in the heart of downtown (Younge and Dundas: another highly acquired space). I never understood why tf they needed or could even afford 2 huge ass stores literally a 5 min walk from each other as if everyone and their mothers shop from there🙄🙄 Well now they've closed one of them down LOL

Man I can’t remember the last time I went to a Forever 21 store... I used to buy jewelry there and occasionally clothes, but then I started to seriously consider the actual cost of fast fashion both from an environmental view, and also the people who actually make the items in sweat shops. Very sad.

I actually like forever 21. And for the most part the stuff that I’ve bought from them have lasted. However when you look at Romwe and Shein, you can get a lot of the same
Items for cheaper. But either way once sales get really low I’ll start shopping lol

Forever 21 had a store in a brand new building in Glasgow Scotland a few years ago.The store only lasted 2 years until it closed.

Ah, Forever 21, the worst job I ever had. I worked at the Fiesta Mall location in 2008 when I was in high school. They treated their employees like crap, probably because most of us were teenage girls so they thought they could get away with it. We went through 4-5 different managers during the 6 months I worked there. Back then I remember dust all over the store too; I wondered if anybody ever cleaned it. The display piles were a huge mess at the end of the day because there were never enough people working. I think fast fashion is extremely wasteful too. We'll see what happens and if F21 has a future.

I haven't bought "new" in over ten years. And what I buy, I buy with the intent to wear and then resale.
