I hope this recipe helps anyone looking for a gluten free option. With limited resources and making pantry items stretch, this is what I came up with today.
Now for those commenting on how you think this is gross or basically leaving a rude comment. ZAS! Deleted and blocked.
Be respectful, play nice and oh yeah...don't be a jerk face. Thank you. 😬

I feel you with the "limited resources" I've been told to not go to the grocery stores anymore until this clears up. Haven't been in two+weeks using powdered milk, have just three eggs left. , But I do have fresh water and over 10 pounds of flour.

Thanks for figuring out a recipe for us people who need gluten free! I'm in Ontario, Canada and the grocery stores near me only have gluten free products left because they're too expensive. I guess people are not desperate enough yet.

Wondering why the baking powder is needed in the first recipe when fluffiness isn't needed?

OMG. Thank you so much for this! They look so soft and delicious. My wife was diagnosed with celiac disease about 8 or 9 months ago. It’s hard to make things taste good without the regular stuff. I hope she likes this.

Eeee! I'm so excited to try making these. This is the first time I've seen a recipe for gluten free tortillas that looks like something I can make and doesn't need 700 ingredients that are either expensive or hard to find where I live. They also look easy enough that my 6 year old can help make them. Thank you so much for this video. ❤️

How thoughtful of you..... my husband was diagnosed with Celiac about 10 years ago. He took to perfecting a gluten free flour tortilla recipe and it is SCRUMPTIOUS and so perfect. Makes the most delicious flour tortillas ever! I'm so proud of him. He's not a cook, but he couldn't do without them. Our friends and family love them. And frankly, so do I. 😉

Hi. Thank you for these recipes. I made recipe #1 today with Wendy Wark GF flour mix (without xantham gum) and was pleased with how fast and clean it was to make and how it really had a glutinous stretch to it when I took bites of my burrito. It was a learning process for me to make them in the pan because my skillet is not perfectly flat. My first two had amazing edges but thin crispy middles. My solution to this was to carefully pour a second layer of batter over just the middle section for my next tortillas. This worked perfectly. If you taste the tortillas off the skillet they may seem kind of gummy inside and lacking flavor, but, truly, once you’ve loaded up your burrito and are eating it, you don’t notice that at all. It tastes like you are eating a delicious glutinous tortilla! I loved how soft and pliable they are. They don’t crack in the middle when you eat them like many traditional GF recipes. I found that stacking my finished tortillas made them stick together and rip, so I adjusted and let them cool on their own. I’ll see tomorrow how they reheat. 🤞🏻 The ratios were spot on. I used 1 3/4 cup of water. It was super watery. Trust it. It works! I would definitely make it again. Thank you! And for anyone looking to expand their cooking, there is a similar Indian bread called Tosai (or Dosa) which is fermented and cooks up like this but thinner. It can be cooked soft or crispy and tastes like sourdough bread. It is my favorite GF bread and I eat it for breakfast with coconut chutney.

I tried your 1st recipe and it went well. I happened to be looking for a GF recipe for wraps and this one will be ideal. Its soft and moist and beats buying the wraps that they have for sale in the supermarkets. Have been using buckwheat flour wraps but they are dry and like eating cardboard so just wanted something that I could whip up for lunch. My partner made lamb and veg soup yesterday and had that for lunch today and the Tortillas I made and had two I made. Only made half quantity as only me GF so went well, thank you!

I tried this but my first ones I wanted to have a less rice-y taste so I added almond flour and a touch of coconut milk and olive oil in addition to the warm water. Definitely needed to sift the almond flour though because I forgot to and it was a pain to remove lumps. But I made batter very watery and it made delicious tortillas

Same here...lol! I experimented with 4 different doughs today and these to came out texurally close to a soft pliable tortilla. I don't have any issues with gluten but I have had this requested many times. This may be helpful for those that can not have gluten. 😁
