Travel, enjoy her friends, live by herself... I had to learn the hard way. I met my husband my freshman year in college and have been together every since. I didn’t get to learn who I was outside of a relationship and being a mom. Now I think we both feel stuck bc we are different people and have grown apart.

Most people who grew up in a low income environment never learned the value of saving because they learned to spend money when they have it and it’s okay if the next month they’re broke. No one buys $700 shoes for their quality, they buy the name so people can think they have money and belong with celebrities and the 1%. I feel bad when I see young kids walking all wearing brand names while they won’t afford college and some can’t even afford going. We need to collectively reduce the value we put on designer clothes that often hate minorities and make their clothes in poor countries for $5 dollars and resell it $500.

Episodes like this make me miss Judge Lyn. Look at her super extra arm movements before she issued her final ruling. She’s so cool, and so comfortable with herself, and so secure in her authority that she can be informal with her plaintiffs and defendants on the show, just to get them more comfortable and get them to reveal more truth. I have watch many many court shows... heard the wisdom or (what passes as wisdom these days) from different people. Yet I have to say Judge Toler stands out from the rest. She uses and applies knowledge and speaks growth to many people. I can't say if these couples actually takes to heart what she says but I do. Being married to someone who lacks quality isn't easy, but Thank God for Jesus, you don't have to sink or fight or be bitter or be disrespectful. God's grace truly is sufficient. Even from here Judge, I hear you.

You gotta remember that these people have been together since they were 17 and so there is most likely a trauma bond between them. Neither one of them are good for ANYBODY but they are all they know.
