If you put an intake on it, will it still have that whistle? The cars in the precision video I saw demonstrating it did not have an intake system on it. I didn’t even notice there was a small hole there where the filter or coupler would go. That’s why I’m asking
It would depend how long and where the intake goes. If it gets tucked into a fender well where the sound is muffled, then by nature yes. If it's a 45* or 90* to push the filter forward to get some fresh air, not at all. The JetFighter cover will still be making the noise. The intake won't change that, it's more where the intake goes and if that muffles the sounds is all.
When it comes to doing this HKS mod, like it's called not many companies If any can get theme to sound like A real T51R kai. The only company, I know that even comes close Is OCD, And even they can get the sound to carry sound all throughout the entire turbo powerband.
I am sure they are working on it and you could wait, or you could get our T51R mod version NOW :) Options are available on each turbo! www.turbokits.com/turbochargers/precision-turbo/next-gen-turbochargers.html
I have the gen 2 6870 SP cover and I want to order from you guys thr t51 cover but i can see the it comes with H cover t51 and sp t51 cover ? What the difference?
The S Cover is smaller in size, 4" inlet, 2.5" outlet, the H cover is larger, like the 7675s, has a 4" Inlet, 3" Outlet. You need to order the JetFighter cover for the turbo you have, you can't install a Jetfighter H Cover into an S Cover turbo.
@@875-performance4 We already sold out of our incoming 68mm shipment. Precision does still have in stock and we could drop ship if need be. Nothing will move until next year at this point tho.
@@TurboKitscom Gotcha! Usually, I'd laugh at this type of mod. All show and no go.LOL! But years of owning a 03' 6.0 powerstroke and also a 07' 6.0 powerstroke both are stock . . But that iconic 03' whistle just makes the truck feel way more rowdy and fun to drive over the 07'.Even thou the later years were less laggy and a slightly better tq rating with smaller and quiet turbo LOL
Thank you for the explanation ☺️

Yes, OCD is great, we have worked with them on a few projects!
Will this be an option for Next Gen 6466,6670 etc? Curious!

So you'll want the 68mm S Cover JetFigher for your turbo :)
Do you guys have those in stock?

I thought the ''turbo whistle'' came from turbine side? Less blades on the exducer = louder whistle
From both, the T51R mod amplifies the compressor sounds!

Do they offer this for holset turbos ?
@@unclebuck6291 No pre-done housings with no core, but you can always pull your comp housing and send it in for the mod.
