Pure joy Top 10 - don't know how much nostalgia plays but for me 1990 was the best year for pop music with "Hold on", "It must have been love', "Vogue", "Nothing Compares to U" among the best songs ever.
Love this music! Oh, to be that young again...
Depeche Mode - The Best Group 🥰❤️😍. I really like their song Policy Of Truth it's great ❤😍🥰
I was eight years old in 1990. I’m 40 now. Golly, do I feel old. My brother Andrew was 6 and he’s 38 now.
I was 10 then, but i don't feel old at all😊
@@manel4034 About me feeling old, I was joking. Anyway I had just started second grade and my brother Andrew started kindergarten. We were both living in Fountain Hills, Arizona at the time and went to McDowell Mountain Elementary School.
You feel old, I was 22 in the 90s and worked for a top 40 radio station. And I dont remember like 9 of these. I'm old.
@@PrincessEli82 I had just started 6th grade... I was one of the 'big kids.'
@@leskimbler5963 Oh.
So many gems I forgot about 🤩🤩🤩🤩
So many beautiful songs that period!!!
THEY ARE THE EARLY '90s IS BEING WAY MORE CLOSER LIKE THE 1980s
(1990, 1991, 1992 & 1993)
Listen Without Prejudice is probably my favorite Album of all time! Raphael Saddiq of Tony! Toni! Tone! has crazy vocals as does David Glasper from Breathe.
PREACH MY FRIEND! TELL THEM! Dang that album is so good. RIP to a real one.
Many fantastic songs here! 'Cradle of Love' by Billy Idol is my joint favourite. Shame it wasn't a huge hit here in the UK as most people know it. Janet at her best during this time - 'Come Back To Me' a beautiful heartfelt ballad my joint favourite. 'Unchained Melody' was the UKs best seller of 1990. The power of the 'Ghost' movie. Mariah - just amazing. I love that voice of hers and her songs. I absolutely love 'Unskinny Bop' Poison is an underrated band. George Michael had one of his best albums out in this period 'Listen Without Prejudice'. Good top two here with Bon Jovi and Wilson Phillips.
"Epic" actually peaked at #9. It reached #10, slipped to #11, and then rebounded to #9.

1990 is my least favorite year in AMERICAN/ENGLISH hitlists, mostly because those countries IGNORED Vaya Con Dios - What's a Woman and Nick Kamen - I Promised myself, which made me dislike those lists VERY much, the two best songs of the year being ignored by them is bad. In most other European countries, 1990 is among my favorite year, Mecano, Eros Ramazzotti so many great songs, but most of them were not American artists.
ugh I tend to think today's music is crap but that week wasn't so hot either
Are you on drugs?🤔
this music > everything in the last 10 years
Idk if your saying was a troll or not but I might agree to you, music in the early 90's was in the state of finding their identity of what trends or genres would dominate in the following years, 1990 and 1991 imo were not a good year at least for billboard hot 100 since most of the pop stuff was bad, hair metal polarizing quality, short lived genres which should have been live more and Hip hop was still living under the rock, hell RnB is the only genre that actually decent through the early 90's in terms of quality. Yeah 1990 and 1991 were my picks for the worst years for the 90's decade, it only started to change in 1992 which was a good thing.
Now it becomes clear exactly why the likes of Nirvana and Pearl Jam were so necessary. What a thoroughly depressing collection of songs.
