What an incredible comment. Perfect description . I would say for the genre he is best vocalist of his generation. Eddie Vedder/Kurt Cobain before him, Mick Jagger/Jim Morrison/Paul McCartney before them. So many others deserve mentions like Van Morrison, but honestly Paolo is 1 in a billion.
Only one other young singer has this level of potential: Henning May.

It’s crazy! I mean his voice has been like that since the age of 15. Absolutely incredible.
Adele was recording at Abbey road on the same day. When Adele heard Paolo Nutini was in the studio too she went in to his studio and watched him record Iron Sky. Adele was watching from behind the camera and she said at the time it was the best live recording she'd ever heard.
Wow would be such an honour for me to listen to it and to watch it live 😍 he's actually back with new music now! He released two new songs today ☺️
She wasn't in the studio at the time. Someone there sent her the video after it was over and had blown everyone away.

Greetings from Bonnie Scotland - He is Scottish and we Scots are very proud of Paolo, he comes from Paisley in Scotland his Mother and Father own a Fish and Chip shop in Paisley and on many occasions I have bought what we call a "Fish Supper" = (Fish and Chips) delicious. Anyway you should try a reaction to = Paolo Nutini - Pencil Full of Lead.

I grew up around the corner from where he lived hes the most genuine human being and that voice in my opinion is one of a kind. If you care to know if fairly sure he learned Italian folk singing from his grandfather thats how he can sing like he can.

You can just see him drift off singing this to a place only he knows his voice is just awesome..a voice coach not knowing is a crime he reminds me of a modern day ottis redding .that voice is just silky soul.

Whenever I'm drunk I watch people react videos to this song cause it's Just one of the best live music events I've ever seen in my life! And I love seeing people from other countries appreciate Paulo cause he's something special!

I loved you reacting to Paolo Nutini. He is one of my favourite singers, incredibly talented and criminally underrated. You saying "who is this guy?" Mirrored my reaction upon first hearing him and I immediately dug into his entire catalogue. I've been a massive fan ever since.

As a Scot who moved to England for my love, listening to Paolo singing these streets, released the same year as I moved, he sang perfectly how my heart ached for home and when I hear it even now, almost 20years later, it still stings in the same way and takes me straight back there

Possibly his best. Absolutely love the speech in the middle of the track too, from my favourite scene of The Great Dictator by Charlie Chaplin, and arguably my favourite speech of all cinema history.
I've loved Paolo since hearing the first note of his voice on "These Streets". It really is easy to see why people are blown away by his gift - his voice is simply beautiful.
"Who is he"...just one of the greatest singer songwriters to come out Scotland, Great Britain and the United Kingdom for years! Listen to Candy or Blue shoes to name a few and see the range this guy has....out of this world. Funny he hadn't got much MSM air time after this track came out......
He didn't get MSM coverage for this song because it's about Scottish independence, which makes your "Great Britain and the United Kingdom" kind of ironic.

Loved this guy since I saw him on Jools Holland about fifteen years ago he really knows how to perform each song and is quite humble he really appreciates the audience’s appreciation which is rare I was lucky enough to see him perform at the Eden project what a memorable concert and I have been to a lot of concerts starting with the Stones in 1965
It is like he was born to make this recording. Truly a masterpiece.
Caught on to him years ago. Every time I play him people ask “who is that?!” Soul is transcendent
I have to say ... I never make these comments, in years of watching TH-cam, not once ... and yet, here I am. Your reaction to this, one of my favourite songs, actually increased my enjoyment of the song, which ... was not easy to do. And the reason for this is that your reaction was so genuine, so authentic, so mirrored my own ... that I felt like I was watching it with a friend whose taste I understood and who understood mine.

I listened his first record in 2008, but I didn't see him (what he looked like) till a year after. I was amazed! I thought I was listening to a very much older person! He definitely sounds like an old soul. One of my favorite artist till this day, really hoping for some new material to come out ♡
My mind is absolutely blown. I’ve known about paolo Nutini for years as a pop singer with some pretty good music. This is nothing like anything else I’ve ever heard him sing and it was incredible. You should really listen to some of his pop hits, last request, candy, pencil full of lead, just to hear the contrast!!!!
Also a reaction to Joshua colley would be great - he’s a broadway singer and you can pick almost anything by him and get a demonstration of fantastic vocal production.

Awesome Scottish singer who hit the uk charts with a funky little track called new shoes, his first album was cool and funky and sweet and romantic in spirit and feel, his latest work is deep and soulful, full of hurt and angst that reminds me of classic 1950/60's soul

I remember hearing last request from paolo on the radio like 13 years ago and then I didn't hear anything from him for a while. I searched for him sometime last year just to see whatever happened to him and I came across this video. The first time I saw this I was moved to tears... so incredibly talented, sings from his soul!!
