This mod is pretty sweet! Love the Open Your Heart instrumental as the Super theme.
My favorite style has to be from Sonic Adventure. The only really issue it had was the quality of the levels for Sonic. Aside from that, it's fast, fun to control, and leads to great shortcuts for experts.

That early Unleashed jump aniamtion is some placeholder sphere base most games use for some effects early on.
I just love the Sonic series period I play both Classic and Modern Sonic games

Hey Cobi a little trick with the metal sonic boss when you fighting the mini silver sonics and your super wait for them to spin dash and when there doing it just run and roll into them so it could hit the boss directly hope that helps 😌

Someone needs to make a Poptepipic mod.
I’d have to say that my Fav jump animation would have to be the one from Utopia where it’s not an animation, but him spinning, I think that’s the best one.
You know....hearing Jason again really made me realize that maybe, just maybe I could take Forces plot a bit more seriously if the 4-Kids voice actors voiced Sonic and friends again. I don't know why...but I literally cant take the new actors seriously heck even when the writing does sound well written and properly dramatic it just sounds weird and off with the new actors.
Modern Sonic:
Weaknesses: Slippery controls
Strengths: Faster gameplay
Classic Sonic:
Weaknesses: Cheap enemy placement at times
Strengths: Easier platforming.

Modern. The Boost has so much potential for Sonic. You can regain lost speed from jumps easily, and allows for a great sense of speed.
Classic Sonic

Most of the time you're not able to go super in normal stages in some modern sonic games
Speed cap
Cheesy lines
Classic Sonic strength:no speed cap
Different pathways which most of the time take as long as any route except the bottom one
Nice rom hacks:Sonic 3 complete,sonic classic heroes etc
Be able to turn super in almost any stage or game
Some hard difficulty
Awesome badass funky calm and mystical music
Classic Sonic weakness:some very hard glitches to perform
Sometimes randomly dying without falling of stage or crushed or hit even if you have a ring
Super sonic not having correct sprites for some gimmicks
So this is my opinion
If you agree or disagree that's fine I don't care about that.
I may forget some stuff but meh I will probably edit it.
And tbh Cobi I really dunno what to prefer but still this may change one day or may still stay the same.

I thought this was a new video. I was freaking out...
Modern:
Strengths: Super fast, exhilarating, good level design built for speed running, good backgrounds and details.
Weaknesses: Platforming is very minimal (no, not non-existent), multiple pathways are minimal, boost makes some speed challenges easy. I'm.not saying omit boost, I'm saying maybe nerf it a little.
Classic:
Strengths: Good platforming, descent speed, interesting challenge
Weaknesses: Sonic is most of the time always in the center of the screen. For Mania, it works, but other classic games it makes platforming a lot more challenging.
The sprite in 10:30 briefly changes back to the original sonic for the game when he stops.
QOTD: Classic: great balance between speed and platform and haven’t changed since sonic 2 and I am glad. I too hope that a true 3D Classic game will ever come, like Sonic Utopia.
Dreamcast: full 3D games with pretty realistic speed to every characters like Sonic, Silver and others. The playstyles to each can be quite annoying, from what I’ve heard, but in opinion, they seem to be quite unique.
Modern: lacks more platforming but more speed, which is understandable because of his boost, but still, games like Colors has a perfect balance in Speed and platforms too.

I really wish Jason Griffin comes back to play Sonic and Shadow voices again. I don't mind there new voices of sonic and shadow but I would be happy to hear his voice again
I slowly started to prefer the classic sonic gameplay once i got Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection on the 360 years back.
Sonic Mania solidified that.
It would be interesting if they released a Generations typed game where you get to play as a Jason Griffith Sonic and a Roger Craig Smith Sonic. Do miss hearing Jason as Sonic so both voices together could be epic
The reason for all of the finicky stuff with the Drop Dash is because there's a different Player object file than one optimized for your version. For instance, object files for the latest version of Mania won't work with older versions, and vice versa.
I don't know why there's a different Player object file for this mod, but that's why there's all of the problems with the physics: the automatic extra life, the Combi Ring at the start, and the drop dash not working. (And also the Super Sonic palette has problems with different object files, with the darkest Super color being replaced with the lightest regular Sonic color in the palette.)
Edit: Oh, apparently he had computer problems and didn't have access to the latest Mania version at the time of making the mod. Well, that explains why there's an outdated Player object file.
