What do you suggest to improve reading questions ? Do reading the novels and other stuffs are necessary or simply practicing more and more new questions is a wise way ?
Don’t read novels. Read the newspaper or a magazine. Look up words you can’t easily define right away so that you learn them. But honestly, reading more isn’t going to make a big difference on your score if you start a month or two before your SAT. Reading needs to be a long-term habit to make a difference. To improve the Reading score, you have to practice actual SAT Reading questions. Remember that most stuff you read in real life doesn’t come with a quiz at the end!
Hey settle, I’m taking the SAT in less than a month (august 24) and this will be my last SAT of senior year, how do you think I should approach this final boss. As always love your videos ❤
Haha I love calling it the “final boss”. Never heard that before. Where are you in the study plan I made in this video? th-cam.com/video/HNRj7G1OPrg/w-d-xo.html You definitely want to be thinking about where you are weakest and start working on that. High priority topics are grammar and memorization-heavy math topics, like quadratics and geometry. Is there any particular weakness you’re struggling with? Maybe I can make a video about it specifically!
@@SetteleTutoringI also have sat on August it'd my second time repeating it I started Thursday I did the book then did grammar question banks then now I am looking at ur videos u make them seem soo easy. I finished the writing part today I still have reading(which is annoying) and math left I am genuinely scared I really wana score 1500 last time when I did it I got 1260 I barely studied for it tho
@@faze-_-aland348 1500 is hard, but if you’re being meticulous about every question, you’ll learn to see the questions the way I do. You can still get some of the hard questions wrong, but everything you can solve needs to be perfect. The strategies help me avoid mistakes a lot.
@@SetteleTutoring Thank you for responding to my comment, unfortunately I discovered your channel like very recently so I haven’t gotten a chance to look at your study plan video. Really the way I’ve been studying is taking practice test and see which area I need to work on. Currently I went from at 1190 to around a 1400. I’m really trying to push for that 1500+ your pacing guide on reading and math really help me get a few more points. As of currently my math is super good, averaging around 750, my reading is where I need work, I’ve been focusing on grammar to make sure I get those points, most of the questions you have already made videos about which is really helpful for me. I get tripped over on those long passages, specially old poems or just poems in general.
@@GvickKL You might have already seen it, but the first question I cover in my strategy series Dumb Summaries episode is a poem. Connotations help a LOT on poems! th-cam.com/play/PLlvPF6rDVN_tZC7TZtEwOUuYWQ9ZfJKeF.html
